EXO's Chanyeol Shines in Netflix's 'In the Woods with No One'

EXO's Chanyeol has showcased his talents in Netflix's 'In the Woods with No One'.

Chanyeol plays the role of 'Koo Ki-ho' in the series, which tells the story of people whose peaceful lives are disrupted by a mysterious visitor in the middle of summer, leading to uncontrollable events.

'Koo Ki-ho' is the son of Koo Sang-joon (played by Yoon Kye-sang), who runs the Lakeview Motel. Ki-ho becomes entangled in an incident at the motel, experiencing the collapse of his family and becoming emotionally trapped in the past.

In the latter part of the series, Chanyeol appears with round glasses, showing a high level of synchronization with his younger counterpart. He also impressively handles action scenes, running tirelessly with a gun, establishing his presence as a scene-stealer.

Chanyeol's deep voice and clear diction naturally carry the main narration throughout the series, conveying Ki-ho's mixed emotions of revenge and anger, helping viewers stay immersed until the end. His performance has received positive feedback.

Chanyeol shared his thoughts, saying, "I asked the director many questions to create 'Koo Ki-ho' and spent a lot of time imagining and contemplating Ki-ho's life. It was an honor to work with such a great director, writer, and senior actors. I learned a lot from this project. Every moment of filming was a happy memory, and I am truly grateful."

Having received immense love from global fans as a member of EXO, Chanyeol released his first mini-album 'Black Out' on the 28th, signaling active solo activities. He has also taken on various acting challenges in projects like 'Memories of the Alhambra', 'Missing Nine', 'Salut D'Amour', and 'The Box'.
