Jung Yu-mi Shares Her Experience on Taking on Bold Exposure Scenes in 'Queen Woo'

Actress Jung Yu-mi has shared her thoughts on taking on bold exposure scenes for the first time.

The production presentation for the TVING original series 'Queen Woo' (written by Lee Byung-hak, directed by Jung Se-gyo) was held on the afternoon of the 27th at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Jung Se-gyo, writer Lee Byung-hak, and actors Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Moo-yeol, Jung Yu-mi, and Lee Soo-hyuk.

In this project, Jung Yu-mi challenged herself with daring exposure scenes. She took on this role to ensure the narrative flow of 'Queen Woo' in the early episodes.

Jung Yu-mi said, "This is my first time taking on such a challenge, so I naturally felt a lot of pressure, but I believed it was a necessary scene according to the script." She added, "Such scenes are essential to maintain the drama's tension and suspense, and I thought it was crucial for expressing the character Woo-soon. After that, I worked hard on the filming, discussing everything with the director."

She continued, "We filmed intensely during the hot summer and endured the cold in winter. Although only a few of us are here today, this project was made with many excellent actors and staff members, so I ask for your interest and support."

'Queen Woo' is a historical action drama that follows Queen Woo (played by Jeon Jong-seo), who becomes the target of princes vying for the throne and five tribes seeking power after the sudden death of the king. She struggles to establish a new king within 24 hours. The series is a collaboration between director Jung Se-gyo, known for the film 'Oh! Moon-hee,' and writer Lee Byung-hak of 'The Royal Tailor.' The cast includes Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Moo-yeol, Jung Yu-mi, Lee Soo-hyuk, Park Ji-hwan, and Ji Chang-wook.

'Queen Woo' will release Part 1 on the 29th and Part 2 on September 12th.
