The couple overcame an 18-year age difference and societal opposition due to Lim's previous divorce, marrying in 2017. They are now raising five sons together. Seo Ha-yan supports Lim as a stylist, manager, and mother of their children.

Lim revealed he wrote a song for his wife. "I wrote 'Love Again' 10 years ago. It felt like falling in love for the first time, with an unexpected feeling of affection," he explained. Lim then performed the song on the spot, receiving applause and cheers.
