Go Min-si, It's worth losing 43kg
Actress Lee Jung-eun shared her thoughts on working with Go Min-si.

On the 27th, Lee Jung-eun met with TenAsia at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, to discuss various aspects of the Netflix series 'The Forest with No One'.

'The Forest with No One' (hereafter 'The Forest') is a suspense thriller that tells the story of people whose peaceful lives are disrupted by a mysterious guest in the middle of summer, leading to uncontrollable events. In the series, Lee Jung-eun plays the role of Bomin, a former ace detective who persistently digs into the case and solves it.

Regarding her acting chemistry with Go Min-si, Lee Jung-eun said, "I was completely immersed. The atmosphere on set surrounding Go Min-si was almost like 'I Saw the Devil'. Looking into her eyes, I felt a bit scared myself," she remarked. "I remember the scene where Kim Yoon-seok's character goes to the hospital to find his daughter, and Go Min-si's eyes as she screamed. In some ways, it felt like I was seeing her instinct for murder," she added.

Having previously played a maniacal character in 'Parasite' and 'Strangers from Hell', Lee Jung-eun shared, "When I was filming 'Strangers from Hell', the director told me to enjoy the act of killing. It was important to think about how to kill the character," she said. "Min-si also mentioned that she was happy on the set of 'The Forest'. The staff and director enjoyed filming every bizarre scene. Min-si seemed to enjoy and love it too. It must have been a very enjoyable experience," she added.

Previously, Go Min-si revealed that she had reduced her weight to 43kg, saying, "It's the lowest weight of my life. I was 46kg during 'Sweet Home', but I lost even more weight for this role. I wanted to convey a raw, animalistic feeling, with my spine clearly visible. Even if it was just a fleeting shot, I wanted to deliver that impression. I hoped the bones in my spine would look grotesque," she explained.
