Shim Hyun-seop Meets Girlfriend's Parents, Discusses Future Plans

Shim Hyun-seop recently met the parents of his girlfriend, who is 11 years younger than him.

On the TV Chosun variety show 'Joseon's Love', which aired on the 26th, Shim Hyun-seop was seen meeting his girlfriend's parents.

During the meeting, the girlfriend's father said, "There's no need to rush. Take your time and get to know each other better." Shim Hyun-seop, initially at a loss for words, responded, "I will keep that in mind."

He added, "We've already been together for over five months. I'll take it slow as you advised, but not too slow."

When the girlfriend's father asked why Shim hadn't visited earlier, Shim explained, "It's not an excuse, but after three months, I suggested meeting the parents. However, my girlfriend thought it was too soon, so we waited another two months."

Shim Hyun-seop shared, "Some people say I missed my chance to marry because of my late mother. I spent my 40s with her in the hospital. In the end, I think I met my girlfriend thanks to my mother. If she had been healthy, I might have met someone else earlier. It's not about who you meet when you're young, but who you meet as time goes by."

He continued, "Everyone, even strangers, likes my girlfriend. When I arrive in Ulsan, taxi drivers and convenience store clerks all support us. I think of her as a gift from my parents."

Shim also prepared a video message from trot singer Kim Da-hyun, whom his girlfriend's parents admire.

In an interview, the girlfriend said, "I'm not sure about my dad's feelings. Maybe because I'm the youngest daughter, he wants us to take our time. But since he said, 'Get to know each other seriously,' I think it means he approves."
