Actor Ji Chang-wook recently reunited with his wife and daughter in Mexico.

On the 23rd, the 8th episode of 'My Name is Gabriel' aired, continuing the story of Rwandan model Hong Jin-kyung and Ji Chang-wook, a Mexican farmer and son-in-law of a wealthy family.

Ji Chang-wook began his life as a Mexican farmer, Jimador Pipe. After harvesting 7 tons of agave, he returned home to find his wife and 6-month-old daughter, a surprise that left him flustered. He shared his first home-cooked meal prepared by his wife, admitting, "It was so awkward that I don't even remember the taste," eliciting laughter.

The surprises didn't end there. While Ji Chang-wook was taking a shower, a loud noise came from the bathroom, revealing that the showerhead had broken. Despite the mishap, he quickly transitioned into parenting mode, prompting Hong Jin-kyung to humorously point out, "You're not mentioning the showerhead?" Ji Chang-wook then spent the rest of the day playing soccer with the children in the plaza, ending his exhausting day.

The next day, Ji Chang-wook faced the daunting task of harvesting 1 ton of agave alone. Despite feeling "not too bad," he soon found himself battling nosebleeds under the scorching 37-degree heat. Unlike before, he had to complete the task without any help. He jokingly called himself "the ace of our farm," but the workload was overwhelming. To make matters worse, his tool, the coa, broke, earning him the nickname "Destroyer."

In this critical moment, his brother-in-law, Jose, came to the rescue. With Jose's personal coaching, Ji Chang-wook's skills improved significantly, allowing him to complete the 1-ton agave harvest. When asked what he does when he doesn't feel like working, Jimador Jose replied, "I work," leaving a deep impression. This sense of responsibility stemmed from the need to support his family. Ji Chang-wook reflected on his own life, saying, "When I was younger, I had to take care of my mother and earn money for survival. Now, my goals have changed; it's more about ambition and pride."

Towards the end of the episode, Ji Chang-wook was invited to his father-in-law's house, adding more intrigue. His father-in-law, a well-known tycoon in the tequila distillery business, earns billions monthly. The episode showcased the grandeur of his in-laws' house, complete with a smart kitchen, billiard room, massage room, and outdoor swimming pool. Ji Chang-wook's tour of his father-in-law's weapon storage, given his hobby of shooting, added to the anticipation for future episodes.
