Family Questions Nursing Home After Shocking CCTV Footage Emerges in Death of Former Teacher
MBC's 'True Story Exploration Team' has spotlighted a troubling incident involving a man, referred to as Jung Hyun-soo, who passed away just three months after entering a nursing home in Gyeonggi Province. The family claims that CCTV footage contradicts the nursing home's initial explanation of a 'minor scuffle.'

Jung Hyun-soo, a father of six and a teacher for 35 years, died unexpectedly after only three months in the facility. His family, puzzled by his sudden death, began investigating the circumstances surrounding it.

Nursing Home's 'Minor Scuffle' Explanation Under Scrutiny

According to the family, two days after Jung's admission, the nursing home reported a 'minor verbal altercation' with another resident, downplaying it as a small physical confrontation. They were told that any bruising would subside within a week with some treatment.

Despite repeated phone inquiries, the family claims the nursing home consistently assured them that Jung was 'fine.'

However, when the family visited two weeks later, they found Jung in a drastically altered state, unresponsive and with a vacant gaze.

Alarmed, the family requested a medical evaluation, which revealed a diagnosis of 'chronic subdural hematoma,' a condition involving slow bleeding in the brain following trauma.

CCTV Footage Reveals the Truth

Medical professionals recommended urgent surgery, and Jung underwent brain surgery. Unfortunately, complications and sepsis ensued, leading to his death two months later, according to the family.

The family, recalling the 'minor scuffle,' demanded to see the CCTV footage, which revealed a situation far more severe than initially described.

They allege that the nursing home failed to provide adequate medical care or notify them of the seriousness of the incident, suggesting a possible cover-up or downplaying of the event.
