Fencing Star Oh Sang-wook Expresses Desire to Marry Before Turning 35

Oh Sang-wook, born in 1996, has expressed his wish to get married before turning 35, drawing public attention.

On the 22nd, the 7th episode of ENA's variety show 'Hyunmoo's House' featured South Korea's fencing heroes 'New Avengers' Koo Bon-gil, Oh Sang-wook, Do Kyung-dong, and Park Sang-won, who discussed various topics.

Host Jun Hyun-moo expressed his regret, saying, "Athletes usually return to Korea immediately after their events. It would be nice if they could enjoy themselves a bit more." Koo Bon-gil explained, "We have another competition next week. It's a domestic event."

Koo Bon-gil added, "We have to prepare for the 2025 national team selection. It's back to our daily routine. We couldn't compete before the Olympics, so now we have to catch up on all the events we missed."

Jun Hyun-moo asked the athletes about their future aspirations. The unmarried Oh Sang-wook confessed, "All my older teammates are married. I want to start a family quickly after my athletic career ends."

When asked by Kim Ji-seok if he had any thoughts about marriage during his athletic career, Oh Sang-wook replied, "No, because I want to focus on my family after marriage rather than sports."

Oh Sang-wook shared, "When we return to Korea, my older teammates go home to their families. Their wives come to pick them up, and sometimes their children come to greet them. It seems like they find happiness in these small moments."

Koo Bon-seung commented, "Marriage brings a sense of stability. There are many challenges you have to face alone as an athlete, but having a family provides a sense of security." He added humorously, "It's great, but it's okay to experience it later."

When asked if he had a deadline for marriage, Oh Sang-wook replied, "I want to get married before I turn 35." His older teammates praised him, saying, "Sang-wook is very family-oriented."
