Kian84 "I would appreciate it if you could give me another award"
Kian84 will be challenging for the Entertainment Awards for the second consecutive year. Kian84 said, "I would be grateful if they gave me the Entertainment Awards, but I don't know because the program has to do well," while expressing his confidence in 'Music Week'.
On the 16th, a production conference for the new entertainment show 'Music Week' (hereafter referred to as 'Music Week') was held at MBC Golden Mouse Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Gian84, Yoo Tae-oh, and PD Kim Ji-woo attended the event. Pani Bottle did not attend due to personal reasons.
'Music Week' is a program that follows the journey of Gian84, a man who lives while he is still alive, as he pursues his dream of becoming a singer, which was one of the things on his bucket list. On this day, PD Kim Ji-woo said, "I've been receiving a lot of love for the 'Taegye Ilju' series since last year, and I'm grateful for that, but I've been thinking about how to continue the series, make variations, and make it more fun, and I'm happy and grateful to be able to meet you through 'Music Ilju'."
Kian84 said, "I thought I would fall into mannerism if I did 'Taegye Ilju' season 3 and then season 4," and "There are a lot of travel variety shows in the world, so I thought about how I could differentiate myself because I don't want it to fail," making everyone laugh. He continued, "I made it well, so I'm looking forward to it in another sense," and expressed confidence, saying, "I think it'll be fun."
He continued, "The genre I like is rock ballads, just like 41-year-old men. I experienced many genres this time," and explained, "I made a song, and I think it turned out like pop. I didn't make it with a specific genre in mind, it just happened that way." Yoo Teo said, "When I met with the PD, I was honestly nervous. I was worried that if I participated in such a successful program, I would be just adding my own spin on it, so I first thought objectively about what kind of fun I could actually provide."
He continued, "This kind of trip was on my bucket list. I've been going on more and more planned trips, but I wasn't prepared, and since it was a variety show, the PDs did protect my safety to some extent. But the fact that I could do whatever I wanted was so appealing," and added, "Later, I came to be very grateful that I could participate in this program."
Yoo Teo said, "During our pre-meeting, he told me to just relax and go without any preparation, so I went on the trip with an empty mind. I had no expectations or predictions," and "I went on the trip with a blank slate and started drawing from there. It was fun."
Kian84 replied, "I thought Yoo Tae-oh had a more artistic side to him, so we got along well. We even talked for an hour or two when he came to my dorm on the first day," adding, "We had a lot in common." Regarding the difference of 'Music Week', Kian84 said, "I'm glad that the result was music, and I feel like I brought home a certain result when I went there and came back, so I personally think (this filming) was the best out of all the seasons."
PD Kim Ji-woo emphasized, "Kian84 sent the lyrics he wrote back to Korea after receiving inspiration, and he wrote and recorded them himself," and "Music and audio files are played at the beginning of the broadcast along with the story. As you follow the story, impressive places and experiences are born as specific lyrics and music. Considering that it's a short trip, a variety of music came out."
PD Kim Ji-woo said, "Rather than feeling burdened by the program, I feel joy when something good comes out of fighting with Kian84, so the joy is greater than the burden," and Kian84 honestly answered, "If the music does well, I think the program will do well, but if not, I think it will do a little poorly."
Regarding the proceeds from his music streaming service, Kian84 said, "I think it would be right to donate or use it for a good cause. It would be great if I donated because the song did well, but I would feel bad if I donated because the song didn't do well. As far as I know, they receive some royalties. I heard that they didn't give them anything in the past," and "Regardless of whether it does well or not, I will donate the proceeds to a good cause. I'm eating well and living well even without that. So, don't you think it's right to donate?"
'Music Week' will first air at 9:10 PM on the 18th.
