Na In-woo Cast in New Korean-Japanese Drama 'Love Is for the Dogs'

TVING, in collaboration with Studio Dragon and Japan's TBS, will exclusively release the Korean-Japanese joint healing romance drama 'Love Is for the Dogs' in South Korea. The series follows the intertwined lives of a Korean chaebol heir, a Japanese veterinarian, and a lawyer, who are brought together by a dog with a hidden secret. As they navigate misunderstandings and conflicts, they build friendships and heal emotional wounds. The drama portrays a heartwarming story of individuals with different scars breaking down emotional barriers through their connection with a pet.
The main cast includes Korean actor Na In-woo, Japanese actress Kaya Kiyohara, and actor Ryo Narita. Na In-woo is known for his stable performances in dramas like 'Marry My Husband' and 'I've Waited a Long Time for You.' Kaya Kiyohara gained popularity through the TBS drama 'Silent,' while Ryo Narita, an award-winning actor at the Japan Academy, is expected to add depth to the series with his nuanced acting.
'Love Is for the Dogs' is a high-quality production combining the expertise of Studio Dragon, known for globally beloved Korean dramas, and Japan's TBS. The original work is based on the webtoon 'Dog Romance' by Studio TooN, a TBS-established studio in Korea, and is available on Naver Webtoon.
A representative from TVING stated, "'Love Is for the Dogs' captures the delicate emotional lines created by the intersection of Korean and Japanese sensibilities and cultures centered around pets. TVING aims to expand its reach by offering diverse content from various countries, providing viewers with a richer and more profound viewing experience."
The 10-episode series 'Love Is for the Dogs' will premiere on July 2nd at 11 PM and will be available exclusively on TVING every Wednesday.
