Due to Hwang Se-woong's scheme, Shin Cha-il, who was engulfed in flames, narrowly escaped the crisis with the help of Hwang Dae-woong, who happened to appear at the scene. Since an autopsy had to be performed on Hwang Geon-woong's (Lee Do-yeop) body before it was cremated in order to reveal Hwang Se-woong's true identity, Shin Cha-il dragged his sick body to Hwang Geon-woong's funeral. After provoking Hwang Geon-woong's wife to consent to an autopsy, Shin Cha-il spurred on the collection of other evidence that confirmed Hwang Se-woong was the real owner of Archicle Design.

Feeling a sense of crisis, Hwang Se-woong moved Shin Cha-il to the business support team and quickly destroyed evidence. Even when Chae Jong-woo (Heo Jun-seok), who was a safekeeper and a key witness, died, Hwang Se-woong's evil deeds crossed the line and shocked the viewers. Hwang Se-woong, who even framed Hwang Dae-woong for the murder of Hwang Geon-woong, immediately called a temporary shareholders' meeting and concluded to dismiss Hwang Dae-woong.

However, the situation changed rapidly when Hwang Dae-woong entered the shareholders' meeting hall with Shin Cha-il, Koo Han-soo, and Yoon Seo-jin. Shin Cha-il gradually revealed the evidence he had collected and proved Hwang Se-woong's charges one by one, and Chief Chae Jong-woo, who was thought to be dead, appeared at the scene and gave decisive testimony that Hwang Se-woong had tried to kill him. In addition, circumstances were revealed that Hwang Se-woong had killed Hwang Geon-woong, and Hwang Se-woong was finally judged by the law, which was refreshing.

Shin Cha-il, who caught the biggest rat that was eating away at JU Construction, tendered his resignation letter to Hwang Dae-woong, who became the CEO, and bid a sad farewell. Shin Cha-il also said goodbye to the audit team members with whom he had become close enough to joke around, and warmly cheered on the new employee, Gu Han-soo, who had been following him around, creating a warm atmosphere. After leaving the company to trustworthy employees, Shin Cha-il’s firm gaze when he received a scouted offer from the Board of Audit and Inspection raised expectations for his ongoing corruption eradication project.

'The Auditors' presents a thrilling catharsis by depicting the process of resolving various corruption and irregularities rampant in the company, led by the rational audit team leader Shin Cha-il and the emotional new employee Goo Han-soo. It evoked empathy by dealing with major incidents such as embezzlement, technology leaks, and slush funds, as well as individual problems such as bullying and extramarital affairs.

The combination of Shin Cha-il and Goo Han-soo, who mercilessly punish the corrupt criminals who betrayed their trust, shined more and more. The unexpected charm of Vice President Hwang Dae-woong, who is rough but warm to his people, and the complicated relationships between the characters, such as Yoon Seo-jin opening her heart to her colleagues, added to the fun of watching. The passionate performances of the actors who immersed themselves in their characters doubled the immersion.
