Kim Byung-man and conflict clarified, "There was a misunderstanding"
The PD of 'Jungle Bob' spoke about his conflict with Kim Byung-man.
On the 12th, a production conference for the new entertainment show 'Jungle Bob' was held at SBS Hall in Mokdong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. Ryu Soo-young, Lee Seung-yoon, Seo In-guk, Uee, and PD Kim Jin-ho attended the event.
'Jungle Food' is a program that contains a global food culture exchange period where you can experience the wild food culture of primitive tribes firsthand and spread Korean food culture to every corner of the jungle. It is the new work of PD Kim Jin-ho who directed 'Law of the Jungle', 'Law of Coexistence', and 'Green Father's Association'.
'Jungle Food' was controversial because Kim Byung-man was excluded from the lineup along with the news of its production. Kim Byung-man also claimed that 'Jungle Food' was a program planned based on his own ideas and that the production team only gave him hope for the resumption of 'Law of the Jungle' and that he only stole the items, fueling the controversy.
PD Kim Jin-ho said, “I fully understand that (Kim Byung-man) is sad and regretful. I also feel sorry,” and explained, “There was a misunderstanding during the communication process. I sincerely thank Kim Byung-man for leading ‘Law of the Jungle’ well for 10 years. I thought a lot that it would be good to do it again, so we talked about the upgraded parts, and the topic of this program came up after eating ramen that Ryu Soo-young made for us during the ‘Green Fathers’ Sri Lanka filming in July of last year. I thought it would be nice to go because I have been to remote areas for 10 years, and Ryu Soo-young has also done volunteer work in remote areas, so it was developed into a program.”
He continued, “There are a lot of programs set in jungles and wilderness areas, but ‘Jungle Food’ has a different planning intention. It is special in that it is not about survival, but about exchanging food culture with local residents. We planned and prepared it with the mindset of it being a new program. I hope you will see it as a new program.”
'Jungle Bob' will first air at 10:20 PM on the 13th.
