New Drama 'The Tyrant's Chef' Unveils Intriguing Posters Ahead of August Premiere

The poster for the upcoming drama 'The Tyrant's Chef' has been released. Initially, actor Park Sung-hoon was cast as the male lead, but he stepped down following a controversy over explicit content posted on his social media last year. The role has since been taken over by Lee Chae-min.

tvN's new weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef' is a survival fantasy romantic comedy about a chef who time-slips to the past at the peak of his career and meets a tyrannical king with an impeccable palate. As the drama gears up for its August premiere, posters featuring Chef Yoon Ji-young (played by Im Yoon-ah) and King Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min) have been unveiled, hinting at their extraordinary encounter.

The 'First Banquet' poster captures the contrast between Yoon Ji-young and Lee Heon, who meet across time. In the bustling royal kitchen, with baskets of ingredients and jars of spices, Yoon Ji-young stands out in her pristine chef's uniform, confidently focused on her cooking.

Below the poster, King Lee Heon is depicted seated on a lavish throne, with the phrase 'Let's prepare the best banquet even a tyrant can't forget' capturing his satisfaction in front of a table laden with a feast. The fusion of Korean and Western dishes creates a tantalizing harmony that whets the appetite.

King Lee Heon asserts his authority with a menacing threat: 'If even for a day, the food doesn't suit my taste, there will be severe punishment.' The question remains whether Yoon Ji-young, now the 'Tyrant's Chef,' can satisfy the king's discerning palate. The drama promises to captivate viewers with the unique dynamic between the chef, who must prepare a feast for survival, and the gourmet king who holds her fate in his hands.
