To celebrate the 7th anniversary of the broadcast, the 3 MCs of the SBS entertainment show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereinafter referred to as 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2') expressed their gratitude to viewers along with their thoughts on the 7th anniversary.

Kim Gura, Seo Jang-hoon, and Kim Sook, who have been leading ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ for 7 years, said in a recent interview, “I had no idea that ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ would last this long. “It is an honor to be here with you,” he said.

Regarding ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ still maintaining high viewership ratings, Kim Sook said, “The important thing in ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ is the ‘fated couple,’ but it is not easy to capture the couple’s real life. “The reason many people are looking for ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ is because it is a program that shows the most truthful and diverse lives of couples,” he said, adding, “‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ is a luxury in the world of couples’ entertainment.”

He continued, “Celebrity couples who are close to me sometimes ask me for advice on appearing in Same-Same-Different-Mong 2, saying, ‘If you appear on a married couple show, it’s definitely ‘Same-Same, Different-Mong.’ Also, in 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', couples who appeared once appear again to tell new stories. “It seems to be loved because it contains more diverse life stories than any other entertainment show, making the program richer and more unique.”

The 3MCs sympathized with the stories of various star-crossed couples introduced through 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' and also selected performers who were impressive. Kim Gu-ra chose Yeom Kyung-hwan and Lee Bong-won as impressive performers in that they showed various types of married life, while Seo Jang-hoon chose In Gyo-jin and So Yi-hyun as a couple who honestly showed each other's differences and yet lived well together in the name of a married couple. He also said, “I want to keep seeing Choo Ja-hyun and Woo Hyo-gwang,” along with Choi Soo-jong, Ha Hee-ra, Noh Sa-yeon, Lee Moo-song couple, Oh Yeon-soo, and Son Ji-chang, who showed the essence of the taste of a mature couple in The Taste of Newlyweds.

3MC said that as 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' was broadcast for 7 years, personal changes occurred and their relationship became stronger. Kim Gura said, “I got married in the meantime, but nothing much has changed. However, as time has passed since I was working on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', and after going through some personal and eventful events in the past, there are some areas where my understanding of the marital relationship has expanded. So, as I watched the daily lives of the destined couples, there were more things to give advice on and things to sympathize with,” he added.

Kim Sook said, “I started liking Kim Gura while watching ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’. These days, he seems happy while talking about his family and watching videos of his daughter. He used to be 'cold-blooded', but now he seems to have become more like a neighbor's older brother or like an uncle. And while doing ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’, my way of looking at people changed. He said with affection, “I think Seo Jang-hoon’s perspective has improved, and I hope he finds a good person.”

Lastly, 3MC expressed his gratitude to the viewers and said, “It is very difficult to reveal a couple’s private life through broadcasting. So, most couples think a lot before deciding to appear on the show, and I hope people will watch with love.”

In 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', which airs today (8th), following last week's '7th Anniversary Special', the second story of the 'hot couple' Kim Min-jae and Choi Yu-ra is revealed.

‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ 3MC Interview Full TextQ. The program celebrated its 7th anniversary. As an MC who held the same position for 7 years, can you tell us your thoughts?
Kim Gura: I think ‘
Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ has become a famous couple entertainment show. I'm really happy.
Seo Jang-hoon: It is an honor to be a part of such a long-running program. It is thanks to the viewers who have been watching for a long time and the destined couples who appeared in ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’.
Kim Sook: I'm not even a married couple, but I've been doing couples' entertainment for a long time. (Laughs) I'm learning the wisdom of many couples while doing couples' entertainment. ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ has been just as fun since its first episode until now, celebrating its 7th anniversary. This is because it shows the various sides of couples. When the couples who appeared in the past appeared again after some time had passed, they had a child and were living a different life. I think ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ can last 10 years or more.

Q. When you first joined the program, did you have a feeling that it would be a long-running entertainment show?
Kim Gura:
At first, I thought ‘it could go on for a long time’ since the program material itself was about everyday life, but I didn’t expect that it would celebrate its 7th anniversary. As time passed, the production team's efforts paid off, and as I watched it, I thought, 'This is entertainment that will last a long time.'
Seo Jang-hoon: When I first started the program, I didn't think it would become a long-running entertainment show. As various couples continued to appear on the show and we and the production team continued to produce the show, the 7th anniversary came at some point.

Q. Despite the flood of observational entertainment, 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' still maintains an unrivaled lead in viewership ratings in the Monday entertainment category. What do MCs think is the competitiveness of the program?
Gura Kim:
I think people who are interested in how other couples live would be curious about our program. Looking at those scenes, I think you will empathize with the thought, ‘In the end, life is similar.’
Kim Sook: The important thing in ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ is the ‘fated couple’, but it is not easy to capture the couple’s real life. The reason many people watch 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' is because it is a program that shows the most truthful and diverse lives of couples. It can be said that the couple is a ‘luxury product’ in the entertainment industry. Even celebrity couples I'm close to sometimes say to me, 'If you appear on a married couple show, it's definitely 'Same Bed, Different Dreams!' While talking, there are times when I consult about appearing in Same Same Dream 2. Also, in 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', couples who appeared once appear again to tell new stories. It seems to be loved because it contains more diverse life stories than any other entertainment show, making the program richer and more unique.

Q. Of all the fateful couples that have appeared so far, which one would you pick as the most impressive fateful couple?
Kim Sook:
I would like to choose Choi Soo-jong♥Ha Hee-ra couple, Noh Sa-yeon♥Lee Moo-song couple, and Son Ji-chang♥Oh Yeon-soo couple. They seem to be a couple who live a natural life without pretense. Chu Ja-hyun and Woo Hyo-gwang couple just stay in my memory and I want to see them again.
Seo Jang-hoon: The couple So Yi-hyun and In Gyo-jin, who appeared for the longest time and, in a way, laid the foundation for 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', cannot be left out.
Kim Gura: I think ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ showed various types of married life, and those people are more memorable. Although they are friends, I also noticed the cohabitation of Yeom Kyung-hwan and his father-in-law, and there is also senior Lee Bong-won, who lives as a weekend couple. I also watched with interest the younger comedian couples and the Lee Hyeong-taek couple who appeared in the recent ‘Olympic Sports Star Special’.

Q. As the MC leading the program, you must have a sense of responsibility for the program. Is there anything you worry about as you proceed?
Gura Kim:
I try to express myself in a balanced way by reflecting the perspectives of men and women. Now that I'm older and have had more eventful times than others, watching couples makes me think about things outside of the screen rather than the fragmented parts.
Seo Jang-hoon: The couples in 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' don't often appear on entertainment shows or broadcasts, so I was a little cautious compared to other entertainment programs. There comes a point where you become more considerate.

Q. In episode 1, ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ started with the catchphrase, “Until the day the 3 MCs get married.” Have your thoughts on marriage changed in the past 7 years?
Kim Sook:
My thoughts on marriage changed while watching ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’. In the past, I thought it was too far off, but after seeing the realistic images of couples I met on TV or seeing them living really happily, I thought, 'There are such good things about getting married.' Things have changed for the better about marriage. But I don’t know if I’ll actually do it (laughter)

Q. Mr. Kim Gura, while working on the program, you also got married. Has there been any change in your perspective when observing the daily lives of fated couples since then?
Kim Gura:
Nothing much has changed. However, as time has passed since I was working on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', and after going through some personal and eventful events in the past, there are some areas where my understanding of the marital relationship has expanded. So, as I looked at the daily lives of fated couples, there were more parts to give advice or things to sympathize with.

Q. In 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', you shed tears and look at it with a happy expression, and it seems like you express a variety of emotions compared to other programs. Among the programs you host, what is the meaning of ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’?
Seo Jang-hoon
: It is true that as you get older, you become a little more emotional. There are many long-running programs of various genres that I host, but 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' is mainly about family, so it has a lot of emotional stories. ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ is a program that I am thankful for and a reassuring program.

Q. It is rare to be an MC for one program for 7 years. What would you say to each other who have been working together for a long time?
Kim Gura
: When I think of what I have done with Seo Jang-hoon and Kim Sook up until now, we mourned each other a lot and supported each other. It is difficult for us to maintain the same tension as in the first episode, but since we have had so much time together, we will now look at each other and work hard.
Kim Sook: Actually, I started liking Kim Gura while watching ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’. These days, he seems happy while talking about his family and watching videos of his daughter. He used to be 'cold-blooded', but now he seems to have become more like a neighbor's older brother or like an uncle. And while doing ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’, my way of looking at people changed. I think Seo Jang-hoon's perspective has improved, and I hope he finds a good person.
Seo Jang-hoon: It's been 10 years since it aired, and 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' has been around for 7 years. Thanks to you two, I have been able to do this for 7 years, so I am sincerely grateful to both of them.

Q. Please say something to the viewers of ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’.
Kim Gura: If the program had been made provocative, it wouldn’t have lasted this long. If the production team shows the lives of the contestants truthfully and our MCs talk happily according to that, I think viewers will continue to watch 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'.
Seo Jang-hoon : One of the things I learn while broadcasting is that people are important. It's not easy to cast couples on entertainment shows, but I hope the production team knows that they have their own difficulties, and I hope it becomes a long-running program that can continue to run for a long time.
Kim Sook: Actually, it is very difficult to reveal a couple's private life through broadcasting. So, most couples put a lot of thought into their decision to appear on the show, and I hope people will watch with love.
