'Goodbye Earth' side "No Yoo Ah-in edits"
'Goodbye Earth', starring actor Yoo Ah-in, who is accused of habitual drug use, has been confirmed to be released. Yoo Ah-in will be re-edited rather than fully edited, so he will appear minimally.
On the 29th, Netflix told Ten Asia, “The issue in question (Yoo Ah-in’s drug scandal) occurred not during filming, but during post-production after filming. “It is inevitable that actor Yoo Ah-in will appear as he is a major character that makes up the story of the work,” he said. “In order to avoid disrupting the flow of the work as much as possible, the director, writer, and production team all had sufficient discussions before proceeding with re-editing and post-production.” He said.
'Goodbye Earth' is a work that depicts the story of a world thrown into chaos by the D-200, the impending apocalypse, and the people who live together today until the end despite the collision between the Earth and an asteroid. It is based on the novel of the same name by Japanese author Kotaro Isaka. Along with Yoo Ah-in, Ahn Eun-jin, Jeon Seong-woo, and Kim Yun-hye appear.
Yoo Ah-in was indicted without detention on charges of administering medical narcotics 181 times between September 2020 and March 2022 at hospitals in Seoul, saying he was receiving anesthesia for cosmetic procedures. The dosage was known to be 9635.7mL of propofol, 567mg of midazolam, 11.5mL of ketamine, and 200mg of remimazolam.
From May 2021 to August 2022, Yoo Ah-in is accused of illegally purchasing over 1,100 sleeping pills, including Stilnox and He is also accused of inciting others to smoke. Yoo Ah-in attended the third trial of the first trial held on the 5th.
