Yoon Do-hyun confesses to being cured of rare cancer

Singer Yoon Do-hyun chose actor Kim Woo-bin as the reason he confessed to fighting cancer and recovering from it.

Singers Yoon Do-hyun, Lin, Chungha, and YouTuber Park Wi appeared on the MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star' that aired on the 6th as a special feature called 'It Might Really Happen ~ A Miracle'.

Yoon Do-hyun was diagnosed with complete recovery in August last year after suffering from a rare cancer called Wimalt lymphoma. On this day, Yoon Do-hyun said he was continuing follow-up observation and said, “It was discovered through a health checkup. I had no symptoms at all and was confident that I was healthy. At first, I was shocked and scared. So, I treated him quietly without telling people around me.”

He went on to say, “After coming out with cancer, there were so many people who said they were sorry to me.” Even while fighting cancer, Dohyun Yoon was active in musicals, events, and concerts.

Yoon Do-hyun said, “I tried radiation therapy because drug treatment didn’t work. It takes about 25 minutes per session for about a month. It didn't seem like anything, so I just told myself it wasn't a big deal, but after a day or two, my condition got worse. I vomited even when I ate my favorite foods. Radiation treatment was the hope. “I was declared completely cured after 6 months of treatment,” he recalled.

Regarding the reason for disclosing the fact that he was suffering from cancer after undergoing treatment quietly, Yoon Do-hyun said, “At that time, there was a picture of Kim Woo-bin in the doctor’s office. “The doctor said it would be good to give people hope by letting them know that I was completely cured,” he explained.

Yoon Do-hyun said, “There were a lot of comments. Among them, there were many comments from cancer patients or family members of cancer patients. It gives me courage. He said that he only worked hard to treat my illness and that it gave him hope, so I felt grateful. “So I left a comment and cheered,” he said, creating a warm feeling.
