It is said that the production team directly searched for actors to create new characters to be introduced in 'Tokyo Vice Season 2'. They cast Hyeon-ri, who is fluent in Japanese and English.

'Tokyo Vice Season 1', which was released on HBO Max in April last year, is a crime noir based on the true story of an American reporter working at a Japanese newspaper who experiences while covering Yakuza crimes. It is based on the autobiography of Jake Adelstein, a reporter for the Japanese Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper. The production includes director Michael Mann and actors Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe. Thanks to the popularity of Season 1, 'Tokyo Vice Season 2', which has confirmed the production of Season 2, will be released sequentially in the United States in February and in Japan in April.

Hyunri said through her agency, "I filmed for about 9 months starting in October 2022, and everything from the first to the last filming remains the best memory. It is an honor to be able to participate in such a great work."
