‘Gyeongseong Creature 2’ Lee Moo-saeng and Bae Hyun-seong join

Netflix's 'Gyeongseong Creature' released stills of Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee, who moved from 1945 to 2024, and the new cast lineup for Season 2.

In the spring of 1945, when the darkness of the era was deepest, 'Gyeongseong Creature', a story of two youths whose only goal was survival, confronting a monster born of greed, has jumped ahead of time and confirmed Season 2, which will begin in Seoul in 2024. The season 2 first look still and the casting news of new members Lee Moo-saeng and Bae Hyun-seong were announced, heralding the beginning of another powerful story that has engulfed the world. 'Gyeongseong Creature' Season 2 is a story of Seoul in 2024, where Ho-jae, who resembles Tae-sang in everything, and Chae-ok, who survived the spring of Gyeongseong, meet and delve into the unfinished fate, destiny, and evil relationship of Gyeongseong.

'Gyeongseong Creature' Season 1 ranked first in Korea and third in Netflix's Global Top 10 (non-English) category within three days of its release, and was included in the TOP 10 list in 69 countries around the world, including Brazil, Japan, Singapore, France, and Australia. It garnered a warm response when posted.

While Season 1 portrayed a variety of monsters born of greed and humans who are more monstrous than monsters, Season 2 moves the setting to Seoul in 2024. In the cookie video from the last episode of Season 1, the person who turned around when called 'Ho Jae-ya' had the same face as Jang Tae-sang, the head of Geumokdang. There is a vertical scar on the back of his neck, raising questions about what kind of story it has and what mysterious events will unfold for Chae-ok, who faces a crisis in the released stills.

Director Jeong Dong-yoon said that he drew the story of Season 2 by focusing on “Taesang and Chae-ok’s fate and future,” and that “Season 2 is a story with a completely different charm.” VFX Supervisor Jin Jong-hyeon said, “Because space and time have changed, I think it will be expressed with clear differentiation. “The world view will be expanded further,” he said, raising expectations for more diverse stories and attractions.

The actors said, “It would be good to look forward to how Tae-sang and Chae-ok’s past narratives will be expressed in Season 2” (Park Seo-joon), “I hope you will pay attention to how Chae-ok has changed over a long period of time and whether Ongseong Hospital was really destroyed. “I hope so,” said Han So-hee, adding to curiosity by foreshadowing the characters’ emotional lines that will deepen in Season 2 and the huge, unending threat.

In addition to the stronger chemistry between Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee, the Netflix series 'The Glory', 'Sea of Silence', the movie 'Noryang: Sea of Death', and the drama 'Maestra' with Lee Moo-saeng from the drama 'Wise Doctor Life' and 'Our Life'. Expectations are rising for Bae Hyun-seong of 'Blues' and 'Brothers of Miracles' who will join Season 2 for new performances.
