Jinyoung, in fact, the main character of ‘Sweet Home’ Season 2
'Sweet Home' Season 2 is a world where desire becomes a monster, Cha Hyun-soo (Song Kang) and Green Home's survivors who leave Green Home and fight each other to survive in a new home, and the appearance and knowledge of another being. It is a Netflix series that depicts new desires, events, and struggles, including countless mysterious phenomena.
In Season 2 of 'Sweet Home', which was released worldwide on the 1st, Jinyoung played the role of Park Chan-young, a private with a sense of justice who is in charge of transporting survivors.
Park Chan-young is a former baseball player who voluntarily enlists in the military as soon as the monster transformation outbreak occurs. He is an upright character who does not lose his humanity and shows an extraordinary sense of humanity and justice even in extreme situations in a devastated world. Jinyoung added strength to the character by capturing Chanyoung's unwavering faith in any situation, as well as his external appearance as a soldier, in his resolute eyes.
Jinyoung led the development as Park Chan-young himself. In order to save at least one more survivor, he rushed at the monster and even risked his own life for the survivor who had begun to turn into a monster. Chanyoung's consideration and sense of justice did not only apply to humans. Even though Chan-young knew that Hyun-soo (Song Kang) was a monster, he showed no prejudice and showed concern and a willingness to help. In particular, the tenacity and sense of duty to pursue one thing to the end gives viewers a thrill.
Additionally, Jinyoung developed synergy with most of the characters, bringing tension and vitality to each scene. Among them, his chemistry with Go Min-si, who played Lee Eun-yu, enthralled viewers around the world. The narrative of Chan-young following and helping Yeo-yu despite his rejection, and Yeo-yu slowly opening his heart to Chan-yeong, was enough to arouse interest in the relationship between the two. In addition to Go Min-si, Jinyoung enriched the play by providing different chemistry with actors such as Song Kang, Lee Si-young, Yu Oh-seong, Oh Jeong-se, Kim Moo-yeol, Yang Hye-ji, Hyun Bong-sik, and Chae Won-bin.
In this way, Jinyoung proved the true worth of an actor who can be trusted and seen by portraying the inner side of a character who adheres to his own principles and does not hesitate to make sacrifices in a three-dimensional way with his passionate performance. While curiosity is gathering about the story of 'Sweet Home' Season 3, which will be released next summer, interest is gathering as Jinyoung's further performance has been predicted.
