'Gyeongseong Creature' is the story of two young people whose survival was everything in the spring of 1945, when the darkness of the era was deepest, confronting a monster born of greed.

The stills contain the original street with a romantic atmosphere, a dark space that seems to hold a secret, and various characters living within it. Jang Tae-sang (Park Seo-joon), the owner of Geumokdang, the largest pawn shop in Gyeongseong, holds the necessary information in the main street, and lives a glamorous daily life that attracts everyone's attention with his flawless appearance and exciting personality. However, Taesang is threatened by Ishikawa of the Police Bureau and faces the risk of losing everything.

Tae-sang joins hands with Yoon Chae-ok (Han So-hee) and Yoon Jung-won (Jo Han-cheol), a woman who specializes in finding dead people, in order to find Inspector Ishikawa's missing mistress until the cherry blossoms fall. Taesang, Chae-ok, and Joong-won infiltrate Ongseong Hospital, suspected to be the last whereabouts of a missing person, and face the secrets hidden there. A desperate struggle for survival begins in a place marred by the greed of those who are more monstrous than monsters.

Director Jeong Dong-yoon explained, “The time period we set in the spring of 1945 seemed to create questions about which direction each character should head towards.” Writer Kang Eun-kyung said, “Like whether survival or humane living comes first, the meaning of the distinction between good and evil ultimately changes depending on which side you are on.”

‘Gyeongseong Creature’ Part 1 will be released on Netflix on December 22, 2023, and Part 2 on January 5, 2024.
