Jeon Hyun-moo "My father is very ill, I am taking care of him."
TV CHOSUN's entertainment show 'Dad and Me', which will be aired for the first time on December 6th, tells the story of a father and daughter who are closer than anyone else in the world, but sometimes feel further away than anyone else in the world.
Here, Jeon Hyun-moo introduces various father-daughter relationships with 'daughter representatives' Lee Seung-yeon, Kang Joo-eun, and Park Se-ra, and 'dad representative' Baek Il-seop. In addition, he empathizes with the children's position, who speak less when they are in front of their father, and plans to play an active role as a 'son's representative'. Jeon Hyun-moo, who confessed to having an awkward father-son relationship, saying that he rarely saw his father alone and rarely talked even when they were in the same space, heard about his determination to take on the role of sole MC for 'Dad and Me'.
The relationship between a father and daughter is as special as that between a father and a son, but I don't think there has ever been a program that shows the relationship between those two people. In general, we talk a lot about mothers and sons, but fathers and daughters often have a love-hate relationship as well. Although I am not a daughter, I decided to participate because I thought it would be an opportunity to look back on my family in many ways. Now that I am at an age where I have to think more about my parents, I think it will be an opportunity for me to think about them as well.
Q. This is a program that explores your relationship with your father. How is your relationship with your father? Are there any memories you would like to share?
It is similar to a typical father-son relationship. It's just dull. It's quiet and there isn't much dialogue. He is a typical Korean son who has a deep heart, but cannot express much love and affection. It seems like there are very few memories these days. These days, I'm focusing more on nursing because I'm very sick. If I were to talk about old memories, it would only be memories of playing catch when I was young. To be honest, I have no memories these days because I am busy and my father is sick. If it weren't for this show, I think I would have just continued to live like this, but doing 'Me and Dad' will serve as an opportunity for me to think of my parents once again and think about how I should do well.
Q. What role do you hope this program will play for fathers with daughters and for all daughters?
In fact, it's so foolish that I just keep thinking 'I have to do well, I have to do well' under the excuse of being busy, and time just passes by. For me and the viewers who watch this broadcast, it seems like there always has to be some kind of opportunity. If I don't have an opportunity like this, I just live my life thinking, 'I'll do better someday.' I hope that through this program, I, the host, and the people watching will be able to call their parents one more time, even if it's nothing special, and give up the excuse of being busy and visit them one more time. I hope this will be a good opportunity for you and me to think of our parents in our lives.
'With Dad and Me', which is highly anticipated as Jeon Hyun-moo takes over as the sole host, will be broadcast for the first time at 10 PM on the 6th of next month.
