Cha Tae-hyun reunites with Jung Yong-hwa after a bad relationship

The first episode of 'Brain Collaboration', which aired on the 2nd, recorded a national viewership rating of 5.2% and a viewership rating of 4.3% in the metropolitan area based on Nielsen Korea, ranking first in its time slot and predicting a good ratings run. In particular, the highest viewership rating per minute soared to 6% in the scene where Geum Myung-se (played by Cha Tae-hyun) breaks down in tears after having her head shaved.
In the first episode of 'Brain Cooperation', the story of world-famous neuroscientist Shin Haru (played by Jung Yong-hwa) and detective Geum Myeong-se's ill-fated first meeting and the start of the cooperation investigation unfolded, drawing attention.
First, the neuroscience team to which Geum Myeong-se belongs was assigned the case of famous guitarist Kim Jae-won (played by Jang Ho-il) who suddenly died during a concert. Geum Myeong-se and Seol So-jeong (played by Kwak Seon-young) called in the wife of Kim Jae-won, a suspect in the death case, to conduct an investigation, and found out that Kim Jae-won had undergone 'deep brain stimulation surgery' due to Parkinson's disease and that he had difficulty playing the guitar due to the aftereffects of the surgery. He even obtained a statement that he asked someone to kill him using a high-frequency bracelet. In order to secure brain scientific evidence, Geum Myeong-se and Seol So-jeong requested simulation and advice from the brain science research institute 'Brain Hub' to which Shin Haru belongs. Shin Haru caught something suspicious just by looking at a short data screen and gave advice. I gave permission.
Meanwhile, Shin Haru made a brain donation transaction with killer Kang Seong-ha (played by Kim Kang-il) for the 'Psycho Brain Rebuilding Project', but suddenly changed his stance and tore up Kang Seong-ha's medical certificate. Kang Seong-ha became angry and swallowed the brain donation certificate. In the end, Shin Haru forged Kang Seong-ha's donation consent form under the pretext of brain research and brought the body of Kang Seong-ha, who committed suicide, to the 'Brain Hub'. Moreover, Shin Haru, who wanted to carry out 'Murderer's Brain' alone, made an unknown request to Geum Myeong-se, who came to ask for advice, saying, "You are doing a great job for the development of Korean brain science." As a result, Geum Myeong-se had his head shaved. I was struck by lightning.
At this time, Shin Haru, who was secretly performing an autopsy, was also discovered by his colleagues. Afterwards, while drinking with a close reporter, Geum Myeong-se expressed his resentment and said that Brain Hub's Kang Seong-ha's brain donation consent form was forged, and as this was reported in the article, Shin Haru was kicked out of 'Brain Hub'.
In the end, Shin Haru visited the neuroscience team to take revenge on Geum Myeong-se, who had spread the forgery, and said to Geum Myeong-se, “I am in charge of this team’s advisory committee. He declared war by saying, “Is this some kind of cooperation?” In response, Geum Myeong-se said, “Cooperation? You and me? “Does this make sense?” was the passionate response. The final scene showed Shin Haru glaring at Geum Myeong-se and Geum Myeong-se making a puzzled expression, raising expectations for the future Tiki Taka brain science investigation between the two.
Above all, Jung Yong-hwa attracted attention by perfectly portraying the role of Shin Haru, a neuroscientist with a ‘very special brain’ with a narcissism index of 99% that has never been shown before. From the action of engaging in a fierce struggle against a murderer to revealing a relaxed and shameless confidence even after secretly discovering the autopsy scene, Shin Haru's revealing side as a brain scientist who immediately discovers something suspicious just by looking at a short data screen is realistically expressed. It caught my attention.
Cha Tae-hyun proved his unrivaled acting ability by immersing himself in the character of Geum Myeong-se, a tough-guy detective with a fatally kind 'altruistic brain' who takes care of others even if he suffers losses. From the way he can't refuse his ex-wife's request to having his head shaved while listening to Shin Haru's ridiculous request, and feeling more sorry for the person with alopecia areata than his own miserably shaved head, his unique, realistic acting is sure to impress viewers. It brought laughter to the theater.
Kwak Sun-young portrayed in detail the frustrating yet sensitive sides of Seol So-jeong, a forensic hypnosis investigator who has a 'timid brain' and cannot speak properly even if she wants to say something to her superiors. Ye Ji-won perfectly portrayed the immature, masculine, 'hypersexual brain' Kim Moran, and Woo Hyun showed his presence as Manager Kim, who longs for promotion but is irritable towards his subordinates. In addition, Kim Soo-jin and Lim Cheol-hyung played the roles of a warm aunt who truly cares about Shin Haru and Park Chi-guk, who criticizes Haru's misbehavior without hesitation, respectively, further increasing the level of immersion.
Episode 2 of ‘Brain Cooperation’ will be broadcast at 9:50 pm on the 3rd.
