Producer Ha Moo-seong said, "Our program is a unique project in which the four people are actually very close friends, so these people are invited first and the items are selected. We were looking for a program that suited these people, and since these people are so close and funny, we had fun with each other. “I started this program with the thought that it would be nice to be able to naturally observe people’s lives. This is a program that tried to film in a friendly way with a minimum of staff in order to capture natural scenes as realistically as possible,” he said.

PD Na said about the program, “I wanted to deliver to viewers a ‘home video’ of four people farming.” The program captured the daily lives of four people using a camcorder with slightly poor quality and shaking, as if it had been filmed by a non-professional. It is said that about 30 cameras are usually needed to film an area of 500 pyeong, but there are only four cameras chasing these four people. So the angles and composition became closer to the real thing.

Regarding the reason for the casting, PD Na said, "One day, Lee Kwang-soo asked, 'I have close friends, is there something we can do together?' When I worked with Lee Kwang-soo, I thought that he was the most talented and personable celebrity in Korea. “I heard about it,” he said. “They must be really good people to be friends with someone like that. I willingly agreed to do it, and I thought and planned for a long time about what to do.”

When asked about the position he held in 'Kongkongpatdu', Lee Kwang-soo joked, "I am usually in charge of a lot of PPL that helped me, so I think I was in charge of being able to melt it naturally." In response, Kim Ki-bang said, “I had no position here. Since this was my first time doing it, I think Gwangsu was in charge of PPL and atmosphere. “I was able to do this program thanks to Gwangsu,” he praised.
