'Return' Jo Jae-yoon, "I have dentures on all 8 teeth, I was born with a short tongue"
Interview with Jo Jae-yoon at the end of ‘Marriage’

On the 13th, actor Jo Jae-yoon, who met at the Allbit Entertainment building for an interview for the end of the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Hwanmoon: Light and Shadow', revealed that eight of his teeth are dentures and said this.
Jaeyoon Jo revealed about his trauma that day. He was born with a short tongue and stutters severely. He said, “They recommended frenulum surgery because it would make my tongue longer. I thought about it a lot, but I decided to live with it.”
He continued, "My father has four brothers, and everyone in the family stutters. That's why I don't go home for the holidays. That was a trauma to me. I can't pronounce Siot and Li very well. So I was always stressed about my pronunciation when I was acting. “I practiced a lot and received training, but they said my short tongue couldn’t be solved,” he added.
He confessed, "I have overcome being short, having a big head, and having short legs. But they still hire me as an actor. The biggest dilemma is pronunciation, and I don't think I will be able to solve this until I die."

Jo Jae-yoon said, "I've played a lot of villains, and he just looks like this, but in reality, he's a warm guy." He added, "The first work that became a hit as a villain was 'Descendants of the Sun.' At the time, I played the role of Director Jin, who harassed Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo. What I received the most recognition for as a villain was I think it was 'Save Me.' At that time, he did all the bad things, from raping women to assaulting infants, extorting, and murdering people. They say 'Hwanhoon' is also a villain, but he feels more like a villain than a villain. He's not a devil, but a bad guy."
He continued, "When the synopsis first came out, it was a love triangle between me, Oh Na-ra, and Yoo Jun-sang. He was born as a bastard, grew up ignored, and has the goal of ruling the world, but in front of Kim Do-joo, he was a character who cried on his knees. But in the middle, the writer “Jinmu said that if that happens, there will be no bad villains in ‘Hwanmoon’ and that only by getting rid of all those gods and turning Jinmu into a thorough villain can the rest live longer, so I readily agreed.”
However, he made everyone laugh by saying, "Everyone has romance in their comedies, but I always put emphasis on my eyes and tone down my voice. Later, I regretted adding a love triangle."

Also, "When you go to the Cheonbu Gwan set, it looks like a limestone cave. The secret room is like a Colosseum stadium, so when you turn on the lights and 40 to 50 staff members come in, the carbon dioxide is so strong that you feel sleepy. It's hard to breathe. Since I only live in those places, I also become closed-minded. “He said,” he complained.
He said, “I was hoping the viewership rating would exceed 10%, but it’s disappointing that it couldn’t exceed that. In Season 2, the latter part overlapped with ‘The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family.’” He also said, “I watched all of ‘The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family.’ It was fun. These days, Song Hye-kyo’s “It’s so much fun with ‘The Glory’,” he said with a laugh.

How will ‘Hwanhwa’ be remembered by Jo Jae-yoon? Jo Jae-yoon said, "All the characters are good, but only Jin-mu is bad. When can I play a character like that?" and "I thought it would have been better if Jin-mu was a stronger villain. Like Yoo Ah-in from 'Veteran'. Still, the best character in 'Hwanmoon' is “I think the villain is Jinmu,” he said.
He said, "I don't care about variety shows, movies, and dramas. I want to be an entertainer who can do a variety of things well and a successful actor in my own way. I want to show that to my son. My greed this year is to play the role of a warm father and shoot commercials. “It will happen,” he hoped.
