Q. What kind of program do you think ‘Canada Check-in’ will remain?
A. While volunteering for so long, I was anxious about whether I was doing a good job, whether there were too many children struggling and not getting any help, and whether the adopted children were doing well. But after seeing the kids in person, I felt like the worries and regrets in my heart had become lighter. I was properly comforted by the kids about the hardships I had been going through. Seeing my new family and their stability also made me feel at peace. It's healing for me, and it's a program full of happy moments, so I'm sad that it's ending. I think I'll probably watch 'Canada Check-in' over and over again every time I miss my kids until I die.

Q. What kind of program do you hope ‘Canada Check-in’ will remain for viewers?
A. Viewers who watched ‘Canada Check-in’ say, ‘I cried a lot while watching this program.’ Actually, I never thought that this program would make me cry. I was really happy throughout the trip, and I always felt grateful for the opportunity to meet like this. I hope that those who watch this program will also remain with feelings of pride or joy for the children who have met and settled in with their new families, rather than feelings of regret or pity.

And as I watched the children meet and settle in with their new families, I too felt once again the importance of family. I need to be good to the people and dogs next to me! I thought about this throughout the trip. I hope that those who have seen my journey will have an opportunity to realize that the most precious beings to me are those closest to me.

Q. What changes would you like to see through ‘Canada Check-in’?
A. I think it would be greedy to hope for a big change in society with just one program. I think that if you just knew that there are many puppies all over the country waiting for new families at this very time, that alone would be a valuable change. There are many people other than me who work hard for dogs. Actually, this is not easy. It is something that requires a lot of money and a lot of time. I think it would be good if people would listen to the words of volunteers working hard across the country and take interest in their activities.

The final episode of ‘Canada Check-in’ will be broadcast at 10:40 pm on the 21st.
