Fencing Prodigy Meets Taekwondo Star: A Dynamic Duo on 'The Return of Superman'

The sons of fencing national team member Kim Jun-ho and extreme taekwondo leader Shin Min-cheol are set to meet.

On today's episode (16th) of 'The Return of Superman' (directed by Kim Young-min, hereafter referred to as 'Superman'), the much-anticipated meeting between 'Superman' official sports prodigies Jung-woo and Si-woo will take place.

Previously, Jung-woo, who inherited his athletic prowess from his father, fencing national team member Kim Jun-ho, demonstrated his top 1% athletic DNA with his innate lower body strength and core power. Si-woo, on the other hand, has showcased his taekwondo skills, passed down from his father, extreme taekwondo leader Shin Min-cheol, and his grandfather, who is known as the head coach of the Hong Kong Taekwondo Poomsae national team.

Both Jung-woo, known as 'Jeong So-ryong,' and Si-woo, dubbed 'Bruce Shin,' share a fondness for yellow tracksuits. Upon their meeting, studio MC Ahn Young-mi exclaimed, “Finally, this meeting has happened.” Inspired by Si-woo's 'Bruce Shin' mode, Jung-woo dons his yellow tracksuit and transforms into 'Jeong So-ryong.' As Jung-woo covers his nose and shouts “Ah-byo!” to assert dominance, Si-woo responds with a martial artist's gaze and a powerful “Ah-byo!” The house fills with their back-and-forth shouts, creating a humorous atmosphere.

Later, Si-woo impresses with a powerful taekwondo demonstration, leaving Eun-woo and Jung-woo wide-eyed and unable to look away. Kim Jun-ho, amazed by Si-woo's perfect execution of punches and jump kicks, asks Shin Min-cheol for career advice, pondering, “What if we have Jung-woo learn taekwondo?”

Particularly, when Si-woo flawlessly breaks a board with a kick, Jung-woo, eyes sparkling, confidently steps up, declaring, “Jung-woo's turn!” Encouraged by his father's words, “Focus on the target,” Jung-woo charges at the board with a bright smile, breaking it with a headbutt, showcasing his power.

Jung-woo's unique breaking technique prompts Park Soo-hong to exclaim, “Wow, amazing! Jung-woo is a genius!” while clapping like a seal, bringing laughter. Shin Min-cheol, equally impressed, remarked, “I feel like I've discovered a great talent,” and reportedly attempted to recruit Jung-woo by suggesting to Kim Jun-ho, “Send Jung-woo to me.”
