Bae Da-bin, Hoyoung and New Zealand leave for Korea

Bae Da-bin, the second of six siblings, enjoys a cozy family meal to welcome the New Year with her 'fifth younger brother', idol group Verivery Hoyoung. The 'bae brother and sister chemistry' between Bae Da-bin, the warm older sister who nags and urges people to take care of their health, and Ho-young, the obedient younger brother, is expected to bring smiles.

In MBC's entertainment show 'I Live Alone', which airs today (27th), a dinner between Bae siblings Bae Da-bin and Ho-young is depicted.

Bae Da-bin is busy sending gifts to her family in New Zealand by overseas courier and returns home. He catches people's attention with his cooking skills, making everything from seasoned spinach to beef rice cake soup and soy sauce braised chicken using 'grandmother's recipe'. Bae Da-bin's multi-tasking ability to cook two dishes almost at the same time and even finish washing the dishes in one go is impressive.

While Bae Da-bin is busy, someone enters the house by entering the password as if it were their own. This is Hoyoung, Bae Da-bin's younger brother and the main dancer in the idol group Verivery. Bae Da-bin describes her younger brother Ho-young as “a strong supporter and a family member I see most often.” Also, she turns on the sweet sister mode, from nagging to taking care of her health. Hoyoung also boasts of obediently listening to his sister and helping her.

Bae Da-bin puts food in Ho-young's mouth and takes care of him like a 'mother bird'. Hoyoung also naturally eats the food his older sister gives him, showing off his ‘baby bird’ charm.

To achieve their dreams, siblings Bae Da-bin and Ho-young left New Zealand, where their family lived, at a young age and lived alone in Korea. Bae Da-bin reveals the reason why she supported her younger brother like a mother at a young age in her early 20s, saying, “I sent Hoyoung to GED academy and followed him to auditions.” Hoyoung also plans to impress Bae Dabin by saying something he has not been able to say to his older sister. The affectionate family love between the Bae siblings evokes warmth.

Bae Da-bin and Hoyoung also make video calls with their families in New Zealand. The visual of the Bae siblings sitting side by side catches the eye. Listening to mom's New Year's good wishes, the warm family feeling makes you smile, as if your body is far away, but your heart is next to you.
