K-pop Star Hwasa Reveals Second-Degree Burn Incident Before Solo Concert
On March 7, Hwasa appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel TEO's web variety show 'Salon Drip,' in an episode titled 'Springtime Tips for Radiant Heels.'
Hwasa, who completed her first solo concert in January after 12 years in the industry, shared that she experienced an accident the day before the performance. She explained, "The humidifier broke down the day before the concert. In January, not using a humidifier can severely affect my throat. I ordered the fastest available one, which turned out to be a steam humidifier. It was my first time using one that boils water. While trying to set it up, I moved it entirely, but it was heavier than expected. I ended up dropping it, and the lid opened. The water was over 100 degrees Celsius, and I stepped on it. Fortunately, it didn't spill on my body, but the heat was overwhelming."
Despite the injury, Hwasa performed without feeling the pain. She shared, "After the concert, I returned to the emergency room and removed the bandages. Most of the blisters had subsided by then. The initial treatment seemed to have helped the healing process," she said, expressing her gratitude by gifting the medical staff with 'Duzonku.'
