IU and Park Bo-gum, lovers in 'I was completely fooled'
Actors Lee Ji-eun (IU) and Park Bo-gum have confirmed their casting in the drama 'I Was Fooled'.

According to the production company Pan Entertainment on the 27th, Lee Ji-eun and Park Bo-gum will appear in writer Im Sang-chun's new work 'I was fooled' (written by Im Sang-chun, directed by Kim Won-seok). It is currently in the final planning stage and plans to begin pre-production in the first half of this year.

'I Was Fooled' was originally known under the working title 'Life', and is a drama that tells the adventure-filled lives of Ae-suni, a 'desperate rebel' born in Jeju in the 1950s, and Gwan-sik, a 'iron-armed man' through four seasons.

As you can see from the Jeju title, which means 'Thank you for your hard work,' 'I was fooled' is a story about the bright days of my mom and dad, who were always smiling in the difficult background of old photos. It is a work that is like a tribute to the seasons when they were so young and still tender, such as the story of their mother's first love, the father's saga, the grandmother's rebel days, and the grandfather's lover days.

Ji-eun Lee plays the role of Ae-soon, a rebel who is like a 'wannabe' in the drama. Although she was in a situation where she had to be tough in many ways, she was also a small, literary girl whose voice trembled like a goat every time she rebelled. A child who has a little less but is not overshadowed. He is a charming person like a flower that raises its head towards the sun even under the shadow of a rough wall that does not let in a single ray of sunlight. He is a bold and bold character who dreams of becoming a poet even when he cannot even attend school. He can't hide it when he cries and when he laughs, he laughs so loudly that it resonates throughout the ocean.

Lee Ji-eun, who has developed her presence and credibility as an actress by showing a diverse acting spectrum in the dramas 'My Mister' and 'Hotel Del Luna' as well as the movies 'Persona' and 'Broker', takes on the role of Ae-sun in the spring and summer, growing like a round and hard shrub. Ae-soon's youth will be unfolded in a captivating way.

Park Bo-gum plays the role of Gwan-sik, a silent and strong ‘iron-like’ character. Gwan-sik is a diligent and sincere person every day, and is a ‘brilliant iron’ who knows how great a weapon extreme sincerity is. However, love is like a water peach, so even when Ae-soon laughs, it breaks down, and even when she cries, it breaks down. However, Chungsim is also a silent warrior who does not pay attention from the beginning and only loves and respects Ae-sun. At each crossroads in Ae-sun's life, which could have been made obvious by using the times as an excuse, she turns the steering wheel, pulls on the side brake, and sometimes steps on the accelerator.

Park Bo-gum, who has been recognized for his acting skills and star quality through 'Reply 1988', 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds', 'Boyfriend', 'Record of Youth', and 'Seobok', is an always green person who considers withering his own person to be the most shameful thing. We plan to bring out the pine-like Gwansik's youth with empathy.

'I Was Fooled' is written by Lim Sang-chun, who created a syndrome and was loved for dramas such as 'The Return of Baek Hee', 'Fight for My Way', and 'When the Camellia Blooms', and his delicate directing skills through 'Incomplete Life', 'Signal', and 'My Mister'. It also emerged as a hot topic due to the collaboration with renowned director Kim Won-seok. Writer Im Sang-chun, who has provided warm comfort and cheerful support in each of his works, and director Kim Won-seok, who has shown realistic and detailed directing, are highly anticipated to present the four seasons of life to viewers that they will never forget through 'I Was Fooled.'

Fan Entertainment said, “We are very reassured to be working with Lee Ji-eun and Park Bo-gum, the best stars in name and reality, on ‘Foolishly Fooled.’” and “The best production crew and cast, including writer Lim Sang-chun and director Kim Won-seok, as well as Lee Ji-eun and Park Bo-gum, can move the hearts of viewers.” “We are preparing to create a work of art, so please give us a lot of interest,” he said.
