‘Woldam of Youth’ Park Hyung-sik, comeback with historical drama after 6 years
Park Hyeong-sik of ‘Woldam of Youth’ and the historical drama Crown Prince have returned.

On February 6th, tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Worth of Youth' (written by Jeong Hyeon-jung/directed by Lee Jong-jae/produced by Writing & Picture Media/planned by Studio Dragon) premiered. 'A Tale of Youth' is actor Park Hyeong-sik's (played by Lee Hwan) return to a historical drama after 6 years, and has garnered great interest and anticipation even before its broadcast. Park Hyeong-sik in the unveiled 'Worth of Youth' was powerful and attractive enough to exceed high expectations. Above all, the deeper eyes shined, announcing the return of the historical drama Crown Prince.

Park Hyeong-sik played the role of Crown Prince Lee Hwan, who is under a mysterious curse in 'A Tale of Youth'. Lee Hwan has a monstrous memory that remembers everything he has seen, but on the day he was appointed crown prince, he received a ghost's book containing all the curses of his life. They are beings who cannot easily reveal their emotions. It can be said that this is a character whose complex psychological description is important. This is why Park Hyung-sik's eyes shined from the first episode.

The first episode of 'A Tale of Youth' portrayed the sad fate of Crown Prince Lee Hwan, who is cold to many people but lives alone with his own wounds. After receiving the ghost's book containing a curse, Lee Hwan was always in a state of anxiety. In addition, he is suffering from rumors that 'Kukbon is unable to use his right arm' after being shot with an unidentified poisoned arrow. Lee Hwan had to prove that he could use his right arm in order to maintain his position as crown prince, that is, the head of the nation. As a result, while out hunting, he became involved with Min Jae-i (played by Jeon So-ni), a woman with whom he fell into the vortex of fate.

Park Hyung-sik's presence was overwhelming from the opening. The fierce look in the eyes at the prey and the shaking appearance after being hit with a poisoned arrow immediately captured the attention of viewers. Then, when it was revealed that all of this was Lee Hwan's dream of past memories, Park Hyung-sik sharply expressed the anxiety that Lee Hwan was feeling with his whole body, drawing viewers into the drama. Afterwards, Park Hyung-sik showed Lee Hwan's psychological changes in detail by looking at him differently depending on the situation and the opponent.

As it was the first broadcast, the story swirled like a storm, and Park Hyung-sik firmly captured the center of the drama with his deep eyes and delicate expressiveness. His presence became even more powerful along with his eyes, to the point where one couldn't help but wonder, 'Was Park Hyung-sik this heavy?' Park Hyeong-sik's unique visual, with fine lines and masculine beauty, shined even more dazzlingly in the historical drama. It was the perfect return of the historical drama prince that was worth the wait.

At the end of the broadcast, Lee Hwan and his close friend Han Seong-on (played by Yoon Jong-seok) aimed bows at each other. This moment was witnessed by Min Jae-i, who disguised himself as a man and went into hiding. Accordingly, I am looking forward to seeing what choices Lee Hwan, the cursed crown prince and the main character of 'Worth of Youth', will make and what fate he will face, and how attractively Park Hyung-sik will portray it. Episode 2 of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Youth Month' will air at 8:50 pm on Tuesday, February 7th.
