‘A Day Without Hands’ tells the story of an 18-year-old magician who moved to a ‘magic theater’ to give children magical moments, and filled the room with a sense of happiness.

JTBC's entertainment show 'A Day Without Hands' is a program that tells the life stories of citizens dreaming of a new start in an unfamiliar place until they decide to move. An ongoing story about 'moving' at the peak of life's ups and downs, such as moving to a new home after marriage, becoming independent for the first time in life, and increasing or decreasing the family. The 10th episode, which aired on the 7th, was the 'Great Showman' episode, and a memory moving service was provided for Go Doo-young, a magician of 18 years, who is about to move from a small magic theater in Cheongju, where he performed for 7 years, to a new magic theater in Dongtan.

On this day, Shin Dong-yup and Han Ga-in were invited to the mysterious and fantastic world of magic created by their client and could not hide their excitement. The two people's eyes sparkled like children as the magician's client performed a variety of magic tricks, including a cage magic, a card magic, and a handkerchief magic. Han Ga-in fell in love with magic by experiencing the table levitation magic with her client and said, “The moment I watched the magic performance, I felt like I had become a child. “I think it’s the charm of magic,” he said, showing his innocence and making people smile. In particular, Shin Dong-yeop said, “While watching Doo-young’s magic performance, I thought, ‘This stage is really narrow. “I thought, ‘More people should see such a wonderful stage,’” he said, expressing his regret over the Magic Theater being idle due to the coronavirus.

Shin Dong-yup and Han Ga-in then listened to the life story of the client who created such a fantastic stage. The client said, “When I was in my second year of middle school, I had a bit of a hard time making friends and living at school because I was timid. But when I was doing magic, I was able to concentrate and have fun and be happy. “So I thought I should become a magician,” he said, explaining why he started practicing magic. In particular, he recalled his school days when he would stand in front of a mirror and practice magic all night long, imagining the audience's reactions, adding to the emotional impact. The client then moved people by revealing his dream of creating a magic performance under his name to give children magical moments. Shin Dong-yeop said, “I have done a lot of magic for my children and their friends.” It conveyed deep sympathy and added warmth to the heart.

However, the path the magician chose to be happy was not easy. The client expressed regret by mentioning the hardships of an outdoor performance performing magic in a tailcoat and shoes in the scorching sun, and the difficult times when all performances and festivals were canceled due to the coronavirus. However, the client said, “Because I love magic, I have never thought about giving up magic or doing something else. “I feel really rewarded when I see the innocence of children,” he said, expressing his deep affection for the profession of a magician, giving a moving feeling. Shin Dong-yeop expressed his admiration for his client's work ethic, saying, "To children, a magician is like a wizard who makes dreams come true."

Meanwhile, the client is about to leave the magic theater in Cheongju, where he has performed for seven years, and move to a new magic theater located in Dongtan. During this process, the client surprised us by saying that he personally made everything from the stepped chairs to the photo zone in the theater where he is currently performing. Furthermore, he added to the surprise by revealing that he planned to entrust the Cheongju magic theater he had created to a junior magician who was about to give up his dream after losing the stage due to the coronavirus.

In order to support the good influence of the client who loves magic and cherishes everyone's dreams, 'Day Without Hands' invited art director Jinhee Yoon, a set design expert with 24 years of experience, and presented consulting for the new Dongtan Magic Theater. Art director Jinhee Yoon reflected the client's request, “I want the new theater to be a dreamlike, fantastic space for children and parents,” while considering a realistic budget, starting with an entrance inspired by a magic tool, a clockwork-concept stage, an animal experience center, a photo zone, and more. Even Magic Shop provided design consulting. The client said, “Thank you so much. Shin Dong-yeop couldn't hide his smile, saying, "It's good to hear things that I didn't even think of." Shin Dong-yeop said, "I hope a truly wonderful magic theater is born and I hope to see it performed in front of many children and their parents," cheering for a future filled with fantastic appearances. The theater was warmly warmed.
