Jeong Garam "I kneel and pray to my father who is against the actor"
Actor Jeong Garam revealed that he moved from Miryang to Seoul to pursue his dream of becoming an actor.
On the 8th, I met actor Jeong Garam at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul and conducted an interview for the end of the JTBC Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Love Understanding'.
'Understanding Love' is a melodrama that tells the story of people with different interests meeting and understanding the true meaning of love. In the play, Jeong Ga-ram played the role of Jeong Jong-hyeon, a petition police officer at the KCU Bank Yeongpo branch and a police officer exam student.
When asked if she had dreamed of becoming an actress since she was young, Jeong Garam answered no. He said, "I went to high school in Miryang and went to college at Busan University of Foreign Studies, but I wasn't interested because it wasn't what I wanted to do. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to go to school from Miryang to Busan, so it wasn't easy." I grew up thinking that I should find something I wanted to do by going out to see the world and being alone in a romantic way. Then, I got a part-time job as a fitting model in Busan, and I liked myself for being funny and funny even though my hands and feet were cringing, so I thought it would be a good idea to make it a career. So I went to Seoul. “I decided to go,” he said.
He continued, "Until then, I had never been to Seoul before. All I did was take pictures of Lotte World on a school trip. I thought there would be many opportunities in Seoul, so I got on my knees and asked my father to give me a chance. I would try living there for just 6 months and if I didn't get any results, I would do it." After returning from the military, I said that I would live the way my father told me to live. I even made the condition that I would not receive any pocket money. My father was very against it, but in the end, he thought it would be okay if you had to go through hardships, so he told me to go. After that, I came to Seoul and worked part-time to earn money for food, and my profile picture. “I took pictures and turned them around,” he recalled.
"I wasn't poor, but I couldn't drink and have fun because I didn't have money. I lived at a friend's house, watched dramas on the computer, followed along, looked at the ceiling while handing out audition documents and wondered if I had a future, but when morning came, I went back to work. ."
My parents say they support me more than anyone else right now. Jeong Garam said, “I was cast in a movie 4 years after I moved to Seoul, and luckily, that work went to the ‘Busan International Film Festival’ and my parents were invited. They were very proud and supported me.” “Now, I want my father to be a little more healthy.” “I’m joking and asking him to live happily so that he can benefit his son,” he said.
