Teo Yoo "Pursuing acting that will be accepted as cute in 'Love Battle'"

On the 13th, I met actor Yoo Tae-oh, who appeared in the Netflix series 'Love Battle', at a cafe in Anguk-dong, Seoul.
Teo Yoo played the role of top actor Nam Kang-ho. Nam Kang-ho debuted as an actor after studying abroad for a long time. After going through an unknown period, he is now maintaining his position as a top actor, receiving praise for everything from his brilliant appearance and brain to his donations and good deeds. Although he is called a romance master, he pathologically hates women due to a childhood trauma. He envies the action genre, not romance.
Tae-oh Yoo said, "The writer told me to look for Hyun Bin's work. I had a feel for what he wanted. I had already seen a lot of the works he appeared in, but this time, it was nice to look back on 'Secret Garden', which I had seen before. At the department store, with my hands in my pockets, I looked down. “I tried to bring out the point of looking down and saying the lines,” he said. He continued, "This work is a genre I haven't tried before, and because I was born in Europe and came to Korea, I have a lot of concerns about typicality and generality. That's why I need a role model. With a role model, I can set a direction and add to that to find and create something of my own. “This time, I received help from watching Hyun Bin’s romantic comedy performance.”
Teo Yoo is said to have also referenced the Crayon Shin-chan character. He said, "If you make a mistake at first glance when creating this character, his pathological dislike and suspicion of women may seem bizarre to viewers. You have to make it a little cute." He continued, "I imagined that the traumatized Crayon Shin-chan character became an adult and became a star. Then, I thought it would be seen as cute and not sexually grotesque. I also thought about Shin Dong-yup. Someone thought that even if he played such a character, people would be able to accept it more comfortably. "I tried it. How should I act so that people would accept me in a cute and comfortable way? So I possessed Jjanggu," he explained.
'Love Battle' is a romantic comedy about a woman who pathologically hates losing to a man and a man who is pathologically suspicious of women, and are healed through a war-like love. It was released on the 10th.
