IU's Dramatic Wedding Collapse: Poisoning Scandal and Secret Marriage Contract Unveiled

During a grand wedding ceremony, IU collapsed due to drug poisoning, teetering on the brink of death before miraculously recovering to spend a tender first night with Byun Woo-seok. However, their secret marriage contract was exposed, plunging them into a critical crisis.

On the episode of MBC's '21st Century Grand Lady' aired on the 3rd at 9:40 PM, the solemn wedding scene turned chaotic as Seong Hee-joo (played by IU) suddenly fainted.

In the broadcast, Lee An-daegun (played by Byun Woo-seok) held the collapsed Seong Hee-joo in his arms, roaring, "I will not forgive anyone who lays a hand on my wife," before storming out of the palace.

The shocking revelation from the investigation was that the actual target of the poisoning was not Seong Hee-joo but Lee An-daegun himself.

During the wedding, the drinks were switched, leading Seong Hee-joo to consume the poisoned drink intended for Lee An-daegun. Lee An-daegun, realizing he would have died instantly had he drunk it, couldn't hide his guilt towards Seong Hee-joo, who expressed concern for his safety upon regaining consciousness. To ensure her safety, Lee An-daegun moved her to Yeonhwa-dang and cared for her with utmost devotion.

Having survived the ordeal, the couple shared genuine emotions and spent a sweet first night together. As reporters swarmed Seong Hee-joo during her speech, questioning the authenticity of their marriage, she was thrown into turmoil.
