Kim Jung-hyun refuses to be freed from the curse and chooses love
Kim Jeong-hyeon, the god of the underworld, refused to be liberated from the curse and chose love with Im Soo-hyang.

In the 8th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Kkokdu's Season', which aired on the 18th, Kokdu (played by Kim Jeong-hyun) and Han Hane-jeol (played by Lim Soo-hyang) confirmed their feelings for each other and finally fell in love.

Hangyejeol was unable to willingly reach out to Do Jin-woo (played by Kim Jeong-hyeon), who asked him to forget the illusion that he was a puppet and help him survive. The longer I spent time with Do Jin-woo, the more I missed Kokdu. He even went out to look for the old desk he cherished, hoping that the puppet that was nestled in his heart would return.

In the end, Do Jin-woo, who could not escape the natural order of death, met his complete death thanks to the plot of Kim Pil-soo (Choi Kwang-il) and Joong-sik (Kim Young-woong), who regarded him as a time bomb because he seemed to know the secret. The moment Do Jin-woo's life came to an end, white snow began to fall from the sky, and the god of the underworld, Kokdu, came down to this world, opening a new chapter in the story.

As soon as Kokdu returned, he went to Hangyejeol and held her in his arms and was relieved. In his words, “I thought I would never see you again,” the sincerity of the underworld god, who becomes infinitely weaker before Hanjeoljeol, was revealed, giving a heartbreaking thrill. Even Han Hane-jeol, who doubted the identity of Kokdu, became convinced that the person in front of him was Kokdu based on his consistently free-spirited behavior, raising interest in whether Kokdu and Han Hane-jeol would finally form a two-way romance.

However, Han Hane-jeol was speechless when Kok-du asked him what he thought of himself. She lost her mother at a young age and endured loneliness for a long time. Hangyejeol, whose only wish is “for someone to be by my side for a long time,” couldn’t just follow the feeling of being drawn to Kokdu, who could disappear at any moment.

Kokdu, who had no way of knowing about Hanjeol's troubles, did not hesitate to go all out in order to become a better man for her. Meanwhile, when Han Hane-jeol said that he was worried about Kim Pil-soo's suspicious actions, he changed his route and began to look into Kim Pil-soo's movements to eliminate all dangerous elements next to her. Kkokdu, who realized that it was also Kim Pil-su who had put Hangyejeol in danger the previous day, arrived in front of him with the intention of killing Kim Pil-su.

However, Kokdu's plan to protect Hanjejeol was foiled by none other than Hanjejeol's words telling him to stop. Kokdu, who does not have much time left in this world, had to solve the difficulties faced by Han Hane-jeol before leaving, and Han Hane-jeol was afraid that he would be alone again and blame himself once he was gone, so the sight of the two pouring out their emotions towards each other was sad. called.

Han Hane-jeol, who could no longer see the puppets going astray, gathered his wandering mind and calmly stated his wish. Then, the moment she was about to give Kokdu the answer that she couldn't bear to tell him, that she loved him, Kokokdu kissed her and blocked her mouth. Kokdu, who had been waiting for the day to be free from the curse after hearing Han Hane-jeol say that he loved her, was surprised when he rejected the opportunity to escape the pain. It ended with Kokdu's monologue, "Even if separation comes one day and everything disappears, now is the only time to love," leaving a long lasting impression.
