Actors Uhm Jeong-hwa, Kim Byeong-cheol, Myung Se-bin, and Min Woo-hyuk complete a unique human medical comedy.

JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Doctor Cha Jeong-suk', which will be aired for the first time on April 15, depicts the story of Cha Jeong-sook (played by Eom Jeong-hwa), who went from a housewife of 20 years to a first-year resident, to stitch up her torn life. Following the fiery counterattack of Cha Jeong-sook, an ordinary housewife for whom family was everything, the scandal of her inability to be 'modest' in her awakening as the doctor of yesteryear, Cha Jeong-sook, brings pleasant laughter and realistic empathy.

Above all, expectations are high for the interesting combination of Uhm Jeong-hwa, Kim Byeong-cheol, Myung Se-bin, and Min Woo-hyuk. Eom Jeong-hwa leaves behind her long life as a full-time housewife and renews her life's character by taking on the role of Cha Jeong-sook, who puts on a doctor's gown again after 20 years. After surviving an unexpected crisis, he decides to try again for the major he had given up for his family, entering a major turning point in his life. We are looking forward to Uhm Jung-hwa's passionate performance more than ever, which will depict the dynamic changes of Cha Jeong-sook, who is on the brink of a 'life reboot' challenge.

Uhm Jung-hwa said, “I’m glad to see a drama that provides warm comfort and growth. “I want to do my best to highlight the story of the drama,” he said. “I really wanted to do it because I really liked the story of achieving a dream without giving in to circumstances or age. “It was a really happy shoot because the teamwork was so good,” he said with affection.

Kim Byeong-cheol plays Seo In-ho, Cha Jeong-sook's strict and sensitive husband and a thoroughgoing head of surgery at a university hospital. He is a perfectionist who never loses his dignity and composure 365 days a year, but he has a shameless secret that will shock everyone. At a time when his gratitude to his wife, who had given up on becoming a doctor and endured the hardships of living as an in-law, was fading, he faces the crisis of his life as his wife, who has changed completely after liver transplant surgery, takes on the challenge of becoming a resident.

Kim Byeong-cheol, who returns as a character you can't hate, naturally unfolds the dangerous double life of Seo In-ho, an extremely moral man. Synergy with Uhm Jung-hwa is expected to be the best point to watch. Kim Byeong-cheol said, “I am happy to have an interesting script and meet good colleagues. “We ask for your interest.”

Myung Se-bin takes on the role of Choi Seung-hee, a family medicine professor and Seo In-ho's (Kim Byeong-cheol) first love. As the daughter of a medical tycoon who owns 12 general hospitals across the country, she has never felt the turmoil of the world. However, after losing her first love to Cha Jeong-suk, she longs for a normal life like everyone else. As a professor of family medicine, Choi Seung-hee's life takes a turn when she encounters resident Cha Jeong-sook again. Myung Se-bin, who has shown a new face in each work, is about to undergo another acting transformation.

Myung Se-bin said, “I had expectations and nervousness about being able to show a different side of myself from my previous works through the character of Choi Seung-hee. “I studied and thought about it that much more,” he said, adding, “I was happy to be able to work with good actors and directors.”

Min Woo-hyuk, who returns to drama after 3 years, takes on the role of Roy Kim, a free-loving surgeon. Equipped with a sweet and sexy charm, he is a man with a devilish personality that anyone can fall in love with. Roy Kim, who was loved by everyone but never gave his true feelings to anyone, begins to become deeply entangled with Cha Jung-sook, whom he strangely cares about. I am curious about how Min Woo-hyuk will solve the complex emotional changes of 'Roy Kim'.

Min Woo-hyuk said, “‘Doctor Cha Jeong-sook’ is a work that I prepared pleasantly. I hope that enjoyment is conveyed to viewers. “Please show us a lot of love in the future,” he said, full of excitement.

‘Doctor Cha Jeong-sook’ will premiere on April 15th at 10:30 PM.
