Park Seong-woong "'I'll give you my life' almost got edited out"

Park Seong-woong is said to have recently visited the Blue House. Park Seong-woong explained the reason, "I was invited and went. It was an export strategy meeting. I attended as a representative of a Korean Wave content actor."
Park Seong-woong said, "About 50 (company presidents) were invited. About 24 people took turns giving presentations. I was the last one. It's the Blue House, so how serious can they be?" He added, "I filmed all night the night before and went there and dozed off for about 30 minutes. I was so sleepy. “Suddenly the president asked a question. From that moment on, I woke up.”

Park Sung-woong, whose turn it was to speak, said, “This is actor Park Sung-woong, who was loved for the movie ‘New World.’ I said, ‘It’s a perfect day to make a presentation,’ and everyone burst out in laughter,” adding, “It was the first time I’ve been greeted and applauded.”
Park Sung-woong revealed that his friendship with Park Sung-kwang was the opportunity for him to appear in the movie ‘Woongnam’. ‘Woongnam’ is a film directed by Park Seong-gwang. Park Seong-woong said, “We have been friends for 14 years. He said, ‘Brother, I will become a film director later,’ and ‘I will write a screenplay for you.’ That is how the screenplay for ‘Woongnam’ came to be.” He continued, "When actors receive a script, they have to give feedback as early as a month. Shouldn't they also talk to their agency and discuss it? Park Seong-gwang was upset that he didn't get a call the next day." Park Seong-gwang recalled the time, saying, "I thought of it like a comedy script. It was a collection of portraits. I tried to close it all down."
Park Seong-woong said, "I said 'Woong-nam' was written with me in mind. When I first read the script, it wasn't easy. I kept looking at it, but I didn't really like it. After thinking about it for two days, I called and said, 'Seong-gwang, it shouldn't be like this. But I was worried. I said, ‘Let’s do it. Put my picture on the casting board.’”
When the MCs asked, "What would you have done if Park Seong-woong hadn't done it?" Park Seong-woong joked, "Would you have gone to (Cho) Jin-woong, whose name ends in 'Woong'?" Park Seong-gwang said, playing with words, saying, "Then I would have gone to Cho Jin-woong once. Or I could change it to 'Ho-nam-i' and stop by senior Song Kang-ho, then change it to 'Gu-nam-i' and go to Son Seok-gu once." He continued, “It was a joke, and it wouldn’t have been born if it weren’t for my senior.” Park Sung-woong said, “Isn’t one person’s life at stake?” and then added, “Why did we meet 14 years ago?” and made people burst into laughter.
It is said that Park Sung-woong drank a lot of water during filming. In the water scene, Park Seong-gwang confessed, "I went in with 4kg of lead. So I drank a lot of water."
Park Seong-woong, who celebrated the 10th anniversary of the release of 'New World', expressed his special feelings. Park Seong-woong expressed his disappointment by saying, "There will be no sequel. It's difficult for the four people (Choi Min-sik, Hwang Jung-min, Lee Jung-jae, and Park Seong-woong) to keep up with their schedules. Jeong-jae said, "Squid didn't do well again."
Park Sung-woong, who mainly worked on dramas at the time, is said to have made all the preparations to be cast in 'New World'. On the day of the director's meeting, Park Seong-woong said, "When I went to meet Director Park Hoon-jung, he wore a black suit, black coat, and wine-colored leather gloves. It was a bit excessive, but later, Director Park Hoon-jung said that he looked like a double-gut when he came in."
Park Seong-woong, who had a meal with Choi Min-sik before filming, said, "The moment I entered the office, my legs gave out. There was a script on the table. I continued to adapt it and watched it up to version 3, but there was version 7. It was my first time seeing the script. Min-sik was reading a Korean book in front of his brother. "I was reading it. I could see that he didn't like it. He said, 'Let's eat something.' I know that Minsik likes this (soju). I asked if he would like soju and he said it was okay. That sounded like his last greeting." did. He continued, "I drank 5 bottles of soju in front of my house. I contacted my manager and told director Park Hoon-jung that I would go back in a week. I did as much as I wanted in front of the assistant director's camera. Aren't Min-sik and Jeong-min hyungs actors representing the country? I am a challenger. Only Bikigi. “It’s okay to do it. I pushed for it. That’s why I was able to survive,” he said, revealing the secret behind his casting.
It is said that Park Sung-woong started filming with Choi Min-sik from the first filming of ‘New World’. Park Seong-woong confessed his nervous feelings at the time, saying, "It was the day I was the crank of 'Shinsegae.' It was a scene in the visiting room where Min-sik hyung gave me a photo and started to argue with me. 'Why do I have to be a crank?'" he said. He then laughed, saying, “Minsik made NG 7 times. Director Park Hoon-jung said, ‘Memorize the script!’ Now that I think about it, I wonder if Minsik did it on purpose for me, but when he did it 7 times, I thought this wasn’t right.”
It is said that Park Sung-woong appears for 23 minutes out of the 2 hours and 14 minutes of 'New World' running time. Nevertheless, Park Sung-woong boasted his presence. He said, “The filming location was an actual construction site, so everything was recorded in retrospect.” It is said that the famous line ‘I’ll give you my life’ was almost edited out due to the running time. Park Seong-woong said, "It was difficult to explain once it was edited, so it wasn't edited. I went to the after-party and they really liked it."
