Actor Lee Sang-yi is set to make waves in the kitchen with his discerning palate in the upcoming series 'The Legendary Cook'. Recently, Lee gained attention for his chemistry with actor Park Bo-gum on the tvN variety show 'Bogum's Magical Musical', which concluded on the 3rd.

The TVING original series 'The Legendary Cook' is a military cooking fantasy drama that follows Private Kang Sung-jae as he transforms from a soldier wielding a rifle to a legendary cook wielding a kitchen knife and apron.

In the series, Lee Sang-yi makes a special appearance as Captain Hwang Seok-ho of the 4th Company. Hwang Seok-ho appears tough on the outside but is gentle inside, with a straightforward personality. His direct approach and transparent intentions create a unique tension in the military setting, as he navigates his duties with a bear-like steadfastness.

Hwang Seok-ho's persistence is most evident in his taste buds. His reluctance to reveal his taste standards leaves the cooks in a constant state of anxiety. In the released photos, Hwang Seok-ho is seen enjoying drip coffee instead of the usual instant mix, hinting at his unique palate.

Viewers are eager to see how Hwang Seok-ho, with his unpredictable taste that even a 3-star chef might struggle to satisfy, will react to the food at the Kanglim Outpost dining hall.
