In 'Brave Detectives 2', a 'historic case' that tormented the detectives for 14 years was revealed.

In the 22nd episode of T-Cast E Channel's 'Brave Detectives 2' (directed by Lee Ji-seon), which aired on the 31st, Inspector Lee Chun-ki of Seoul's Bangbae Police Station appeared and revealed the investigation story he personally conducted.

Lee Seok-hoon, the 'Guilty Man' singer who is captivating the public with his sweet voice and sweet charm, appeared as the special MC on this day. Lee Seok-hoon expressed his affection for ‘Brave Detectives 2’, saying, “The manager is also a big fan.”

The first case they introduced began in 2000 when the National Police Agency ordered a secret investigation into the Gangnam Police Station, claiming that a dangerous item had been delivered to a clothing store. A package containing a pistol and 9 bullets was delivered to the clothing store, and the accompanying letter demanded 290 million won and threatened that if they did not comply, "the teacher and son will not be safe." The person who received the gun was the late world-famous designer Andre Kim. In particular, Ahn Jung-hwan, who had a special relationship with Andre Kim, added to the curiosity about the incident by saying, "Given his personality, he was not the type of person to hold a grudge."

The investigation team made a bundle of money as a prop and attempted to meet with the blackmailer, and after tracking them down, they found the residence of the main criminal, Mr. Han. His mother handed the detectives her son's 007 bag, which contained two revolvers and bullets. Mr. Han, who eventually turned himself in, added to the shock by saying that he committed the crime because he thought he would have a lot of money because there were many expensive clothes in the clothing store, and that he was looking for his next crime target.

The second case was a 'historic case' that plagued detectives for 14 years after the arrest. In 2005, a detective working at Gangnam Police Station received a tip from an acquaintance who owned a clothing store that he had received a lost check. As a result of tracking, it was revealed that the lost check had been robbed by two criminals at a plastic surgery clinic, and after checking the criminal record of the check user through his ID card, it was discovered that it was Mr. Choi, who had 12 criminal records.

Detectives were able to arrest Mr. Choi after an urgent long-distance investigation, and he admitted to the crime and added to the shock by confessing to 16 crimes without being asked. In particular, a detective who remembered a montage of the criminal related to a wanted murder suspect discovered that Choi and the criminal looked similar, and it was eventually revealed that the murder was committed by a duo of Choi and his accomplice, Yoon. After detectives' persistence, the two were sentenced to life imprisonment.

However, in letters exchanged between the two criminals while incarcerated, it was revealed that Mr. Yoon had committed an additional murder. Another two years later, Mr. Yoon reported that there were two more murders committed by Mr. Choi, and Mr. Choi shamelessly said, "What kind of murderer is Yoo Young-cheol? Even Yoo Young-cheol will die if he messes with me. I killed more people." It was shocking.

However, Mr. Choi suffered from terminal liver cancer and died three months later, so the investigation was closed as there was no right to prosecute. Afterwards, Mr. Yoon continued to harass detectives for 14 years, including confessing to two long-standing unsolved cases. He continued his shameless behavior, controlling the detectives and demanding money or other necessary items, which angered the MC team.

‘Brave Detectives 2’ airs every Friday at 8:40 PM and is also released on major OTT platforms such as Netflix, TVING, and Wave. You can also find vivid news and videos about the program on E Channel's official YouTube and Instagram.
