Jang Geun-suk makes comeback 5 years after controversy over his mother

Actor Jang Geun-suk mentioned his 5-year hiatus.

On the 4th, an interview with Coupang Play's 'Bait' Jang Geun-seok was held at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.

On this day, Jang Geun-suk said, "It's been 31 years since my debut. I've done so many projects so I enjoyed the five years of rest. Whether it was intentional or not, it was a time I really needed."

He added, "I felt like I had to create something within myself that was different from what I had been in the past. Rather than feeling like I had transformed all at once, I wanted to show that I have other possibilities. This is work that I will continue to do in the future."

Previously, Jang Keun-suk's mother was in controversy for allegedly omitting to report income earned through her son's overseas activities (violation of the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, etc.).

The Coupang Play drama 'Bait' is the story of people who track down 'that guy' who committed the worst fraud crime in history and hid behind death. In this work, Jang Geun-suk plays the role of Goo Do-han, the head of the violent crime investigation team.
