'Mr. Trot 2' Kim Yong-pil had a reason for leaving the announcer's job

On this day, Kim Yong-pil was asked how he came to appear on TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot 2' and said, "I was thinking about when to retire. Although I am still young, there comes a time when I cannot continue working. “As my children continue to grow, I wondered what else I could challenge myself with.”
He continued, “I thought I should expand my broadcasting area, and I received a lot of advice from people around me. In fact, Park Seong-woong told me 15 years ago that I would do well if I released a trot album, so he brought an acquaintance of his who works in the music business. I asked to see him and when we met, he asked me to sing a song. I came back with two songs. “From then on, Seongwoong told me, ‘You will soon be 50, so it’s worth giving it a try.’”
Kim Yong-pil also revealed the gift he received from Park Seong-woong. He said, “After being eliminated from ‘Mr. Trot 2,’ I couldn’t call Seongwoong. On my birthday, we gathered at my house and they brought gifts. “My older brother said, ‘You’re a celebrity now, so you should wear things like this,’ and gave me designer sneakers.”
Kim Yong-pil boasted about the sneakers he is currently wearing, saying, “The first luxury sneakers in my life.” He showed off the jeans sponsored by Park Sung-woong and the belt he received 19 years ago and said, “They are all Sung-woong’s work.”
Even when he appeared in ‘Mr. Trot 2’, he was working as an announcer without submitting a resignation letter. He said, "I kept working. I practiced and worked."
Kim Yong-pil, who was a strong candidate for the championship, was unfortunately eliminated from 'Mr. Trot 2' and was unable to advance to the top 10. When asked for what reason he was eliminated, Kim Yong-pil said, "For a ballad singer to dance, he has to overcome a huge barrier. Since it is a contest and an entertainment show, I decided to just give it a try as a challenge, but in the end, when I tried it, I realized, 'Ah, I am a dance singer. “I thought, ‘That’s not right,’” he said.
At that time, Kim Yong-pil showed a dance to ‘Parallel Line’. After seeing Kim Yong-pin's pelvic wave, Code Kunst made a cool comment, saying, "Your pelvis is almost like that of a newborn," making everyone laugh.
