'44-year-old' Seong Si-kyung "Expects marriage this year"
Seong Si-kyung appeared on tvN's entertainment show 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 5th.
Seong Si-kyung has recently been active as a YouTube creator, introducing restaurants and cooking. The number of subscribers reached 1.25 million in just one year.
Sung Si-kyung said, "I'm a person who didn't use SNS. During the coronavirus pandemic, singers not having a stage cost their lives. So, when I started using SNS, I started cooking, which I originally liked, "all year long. Since I did one thing every day, my cooking skills increased." He revealed the reason he started. He continued, "Music is similar to cooking. You have to know the ingredients and study them to know the taste. It's similar to getting excited while watching people eat after making it. It was fun."
Sung Si-kyung said that he purchased his own equipment for YouTube filming and that he personally recruits restaurants that are introduced through 'I'll Eat' content. Seong Si-kyung said, “I visit in person and receive rejection directly.” He then confessed his difficulties, saying, "The restaurant I want to introduce is already a popular place. Even though I asked them to 'just give me permission to film' with 'My Money, My Mountain', it wasn't feasible. " He also said, "They said they hear that kind of swearing when fans stand in line. Seong Si-kyung revealed that the number of male fans has increased significantly thanks to the 'I'll Eat It' content. He said, "I wasn't a singer with a lot of male fans. If my boyfriend likes Jung Hae-in or Park Bo-gum, I give up. If I say I like Sung Si-kyung, I'm like, 'Why do you like him?' He's kind of unlucky and says things like 'Good night'," making him laugh. When asked if it was his dream to become a singer from the beginning, Seong Si-kyung said, "I had no dream. I studied three times." He then confessed, "When I thought about it, I was a foolish son. I thought I should get into the university I wanted because my parents helped me study. For the first time after finishing my third semester, I thought about 'what I should do for a living.'" He added, "I thought I wouldn't be able to make a living from anything, but I liked singing and was confident in it. I didn't dare to go into the entertainment industry, and Even though I weighed up to 100kg at the time, I just thought about becoming a singer."
Sung Si-kyung, who often says he is 'lonely,' says he is not lying but is sincere. He confessed, "I'm not currently dating anyone. It's getting harder and harder to meet people."
When asked when he felt particularly lonely, Seong Si-kyung said, "Now that I'm starting to feel tired, I think a father shouldn't be tired to play with his kids. Seong Si-kyung's mother said that she read her fortune at a fortune teller about 20 years ago when Seong Si-kyung was in his 20s, and that he was lucky to get married in 2023. Seong Si-kyung made people laugh by saying, "At that time, my mother was angry. She was in her early 20s and had a lively son. How could she say something like that? But now she has the last glimmer of hope."
