Bae Yoo-ram "I listened to Kim Eui-seong's 'I Saved You' for 2 years"

Recently, I met actor Bae Yoo-ram, who appeared in the SBS drama 'Model Taxi 2', at Ten Asia's headquarters in Jungnim-dong, Seoul. Bae Yoo-ram plays the role of Chief Park Jin-eon, an engineer at Rainbow Transportation’s maintenance room.
Director Park's character was originally set to die in Season 1 in the script, but upon hearing this, Kim Eui-seong (playing CEO Jang) contacted the director and persuaded him, saying, "You can't kill our side carelessly."
Bae Yoo-ram said, "I think the life of the Rainbow Transportation team would become too difficult if I, a member of the victim's family, died, so I appealed to the director and writer about not killing Uiseong. At the time, I said to the director, 'Yu-ram, you're going to die.' “I got a call saying, ‘It’s okay.’ I was disappointed because the viewership ratings were going well, but as an actor, I have to fulfill my responsibilities. Fortunately, the script changed and I was able to survive,” he said of the behind-the-scenes story. He then burst into laughter, saying, “It was early to mid 2021, and now isn’t it early to mid 2023? I heard senior Uiseong say, ‘I saved you’ for two years.”
The charm of Park Joo-im's character is that he is sloppy, comical, and cute. Bae Yoo-ram gave credit to his colleagues, saying that it was thanks to the chemistry of the Rainbow Transportation team that the character's charm was brought to life. Bae Yoo-ram said, "From the outside, the Rainbow Transportation team seems to work well together. There is the CEO (played by Kim Eui-seong), there is Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon) who is the designer and action leader, and Go Eun (played by Lee Je-hoon) provides data support for the design. There is Ye-jin). Also, there is Joo-im Choi (played by Hyuk-jin Jang), who creates things and moves things on site, and I. I like entertainment, and if you watch 'Infinite Challenge' in the past, don't the members with different personalities work well together? . I may be clumsy and foolish, but I do everything I ask, and Choi Joo-im uses his brains to avoid situations and even coaxes me. Go-eun coordinates from above, and Do-gi looks at the three of them. Rather than a superior-subordinate relationship, we are together as colleagues. “It fits well,” he said.
Director Park is also in charge of ‘life and hardship’ in the Rainbow Transportation team. Bae Yoo-ram said, "Rather than life and hardship, 'life and hardship' is good for me as an actor. If viewers feel that I am having a hard time, I haven't acted well. If there is an episode in season 1 or season 2 where I struggle, it is actually good for me. “I tried to focus more and express myself better,” he said.
In the episode where he educates the cult leader, Director Park disguised himself as a member of the cult and joined the cult. Bae Yoo-ram said, "I was involved in an episode of cult religion this time. Recently, a documentary related to cults has become a hot topic, so I think viewers paid more attention to it at the right time. Viewers said, 'Oh, you're having a hard time,' and 'I'll hit you with a pottery.' “I guess that doesn’t mean that he was immersed in my character and thought of me. It may be difficult for Park Joo-im, but I am good as an actor playing Park Joo-im,” he said with satisfaction.
In the episode, Park Joo-im is slapped by the cult leader Ok Joo-man (played by Ahn Sang-woo). Bae Yoo-ram burst out laughing, saying, "It's the same in my previous works, but I've never played a role where I hit someone. I mainly got hit. When I get hit, my face has to show up. That's why I rarely have a double." He continued, "I said that the first hit should be shown properly, but then he said that the scene could look realistic just by pretending to hit it. That's not what I asked for. I didn't actually hit it, but I think it came out realistic because the senior did a good job with the action." .
'Model Taxi 2' is a private revenge drama in which a mysterious taxi company, Rainbow Transportation, and taxi driver Kim Do-gi complete revenge on behalf of wronged victims. It ended on the 15th.
