Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon Apologizes for Ignoring Messages on 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator'

Hyoyeon from Girls' Generation publicly apologized for not checking messages on the latest episode of JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' aired on the 12th.

Hyoyeon and fellow member Tiffany appeared on the show, where Hyoyeon revealed, "I decided to appear because of this person," pointing to MC Ahn Jung-hwan. She explained her ideal type as someone who is quiet, weighty, and not frivolous in actions.

Hyoyeon mentioned that she has been following Ahn Jung-hwan's appearances on shows like 'Cook Representative', 'Andahaeng', and 'Gather to Kick'. In response, Choi Hyun-seok, a close friend of Ahn, humorously revealed, "Ahn Jung-hwan is not the quiet type. If someone falls, he's the first to run and step on them. Hosting and devouring are different."

With Girls' Generation having celebrated their 15th anniversary with a full group activity, anticipation is building for their 20th anniversary next year. Hyoyeon stated, "We need to start planning for the 20th anniversary now. Tiffany, who is meticulous and good at managing the members, is in charge of planning."

Tiffany added, "The plan is already in place," and humorously pointed out Hyoyeon as the 'icon of communication breakdown' for not checking the group chat often. She said, "When a message is sent, a response is needed within 48 hours for things to proceed, but Hyoyeon often doesn't read the messages."

Hyoyeon confessed, "If there's too much text, I don't want to read it. When there are 200-300 messages, I only read the key points, which often leads to misunderstandings."

Tiffany revealed that during their 15th-anniversary comeback, she instructed the members to wear neutral tones since the background was hot pink, but Hyoyeon showed up in a hot pink outfit. Hyoyeon explained, "I was the most surprised. I wondered why the background was hot pink. I only saw the word 'hot pink'." Tiffany expressed her disappointment, saying, "It was our first album in five years," and mentioned that she now offers multiple-choice options tailored for Hyoyeon. Hyoyeon humorously apologized, "Sorry for being late," bringing laughter.

Meanwhile, Hyoyeon shared a glimpse of Girls' Generation's dorm refrigerator, revealing, "I've been living alone for nine years since all the members moved out. My family home is in Songdo, Incheon, so I cook when I have schedules. There's no better place. The first dorm aunt, who has been with us since middle school, prepares meals," describing it as a 'comfortable sanctuary'.
