‘Stealer’ Joo Won with two faces, no gap

In the tvN Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Stealer: Seven Reports of Joseon', which first aired on the 12th, Joo Won once again proved his ability to digest a wide range of genres by playing Daemyung (played by Joo Won), a civil servant at the Cultural Heritage Administration, and Skunk, a thief specializing in cultural assets. The viewership ratings also responded well. The first episode's viewer ratings recorded an average of 5.0% and a maximum of 5.6% for households in the metropolitan area, and an average of 4.7% and a maximum of 5.3% for households nationwide, ranking first in the same time slot.
On this day's broadcast, Daemyung captured attention from the moment he appeared. He had collapsed in a cool temple warehouse covered in blood. Soon after, Daemyung woke up screaming at everyone, and when Min-woo (played by Lee Joo-woo) asked him about the blood on his clothes, he smiled calmly and said it was kimchi soup, showing that he was an unusual person.
Also, when Daemyung said that Minwoo was collaborating on the Jikji retrieval project, he said that he would talk to the House of Representatives to make things right, drawing attention. However, contrary to expectations, Daemyung went to meet Song Cheol (played by Jeong Eun-pyo) with Min-woo, and the two continued to clash in the process, foreshadowing a difficult collaboration in the future.
Daemyung aroused curiosity by sighing in frustration when he heard Ae-ri (played by Choi Seol) say that Chun-ja (played by Choi Hwa-jeong) had visited the Cultural Heritage Administration. Moreover, Daemyung, who was persuading Chunja, looked at the envelope of documents she handed her with a dejected look, adding to her curiosity.

In this way, Joo Won performed a variety of action acts as a skunk, such as high-altitude wire fighting, bare-handed fighting, and falling techniques, giving an exhilarating pleasure that one could not take one's eyes off. In addition, his Ho-yeon, who took full advantage of Daemyung's characteristics with his leisurely and sly manner of speaking and facial expressions, gave the character a more three-dimensional feel.
In this way, Joo Won masterfully adjusted the gap between the two characters, Daemyung and Skunk, doubling the fun of the play. Among them, Joo Won's acting, which portrayed him from the despondent skunk who embarrassed the bad guys to Daemyung's energy of being at the top of his social life, made people look forward to the next episode even more.
‘Stealer: Seven Reports from Joseon’ airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 PM.
