Song Ga-in's 'Song Song Mother and Daughter' has appeared
'Miss Trot' Jin Song Ga-in and her mother Song Soon-dan, the so-called 'Song-Song mother and daughter', appear on TV CHOSUN's <Star Documentary My Way>, which airs at 9:10 pm today (16th).

The story behind the birth of ‘Trot Queen’ Song Ga-in is told. National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 72 Jindo Ssitgimgut training assistant Song Soon-dan is the person who raised ‘Miss Trot’ Jin Song Ga-in. At her recommendation, Song Ga-in began singing folk songs in her second year of middle school and learned pansori at the age of 17. On the difficult path to traditional Korean music, Song Soon-dan suggests Song Ga-in to 'convert to trot.' Song Ga-in debuted as a trot singer by appearing on 'National Singing Contest' in 2010 and winning the grand prize with 'Jindo Arirang', which her mother sang 17 years ago and received an excellence award.

However, one day during her life of obscurity, which lasted longer than expected, Song Ga-in receives a recruiting call. It was a call to recruit ‘Miss Trot’. Her mother, Song Soon-dan, who had a feeling that her daughter would definitely do well if she appeared on the show, actively supported her appearance, and Song Ga-in, who had been worried, was able to enjoy the glory of 'Miss Trot' Jin by appearing on the show with her mother's faith.

Meanwhile, the story of Song Sun-dan, a mother who took the path of a shaman for her daughter, is also revealed. When her daughter just turned her first birthday, she suffered from a serious illness that left her unable to drink water for nearly three years. At the time, her husband was opposed to receiving divine help because of the poor social reputation of shamans, and she also resisted with her whole body. However, after hearing people around me say, “If I reject it, it will be passed down to my daughter,” I was inspired to become a shaman at the age of 31. Believing that this was the only way to overcome poverty, in order not to pass on poverty to his children, he endured even more intense territoriality and learned Ssitgim-gut, and has now become a master of Ssitgim-gut, designated Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 72.

Meanwhile, you can also see the performance commemorating the release of the 'Song Soon-dan - Muga II' album, which was released earlier this year. Song Ga-in kept the promise she made when she was unknown, saying, “If I succeed, I will definitely release my mother’s album.” Song Ga-in said, “I want to do everything for my parents as long as I can. “I think that’s very rewarding,” she said, giving us a glimpse of her filial piety as she gave not only the album but also a concert commemorating the release.

The story of Song Soon-dan and Song Ga-in, a mother and daughter who care for each other, can be seen on TV CHOSUN <Star Documentary My Way> at 9:10 pm today (16th).
