‘Chaebol House’ Lee Sang-min, Best Male Award “Song Joong-ki should have come”

Actor Lee Sang-min of JTBC's 'The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family' won the Best Actor Award in the TV category.

On the afternoon of the 28th, the '2023 59th Baeksang Arts Awards' awards ceremony was held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do. Broadcaster Shin Dong-yup and actors Park Bo-gum and Suzy hosted the event, and it was broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2, JTBC4, and TikTok.

Lee Sang-min said, "Go Myeong's daughter (Kim Shin-rok) was a candidate, but was eliminated. My son-in-law (Kim Do-hyun) was a candidate, but was eliminated. I was wondering what would happen if I went back too, and I was wondering if I could just applaud for two hours and leave, but thank you for saving my face."

He continued, "Our work had many adventures. The subject matter was the same, and I am grateful to the JTBC officials who worked hard to dramatize this subject matter. I am also grateful to the original author. We filmed for one year. It was a very difficult filming period during that period. "All the actors and staff who worked hard worked hard. They should have been here, but they gave this award to me, not Song Joong-ki," he said, adding, "I would also like to thank my grandson Song Joong-ki."

Lee Sang-min did not forget to talk about his family, saying, "I cheered for my daughter to receive an award out of the blue. I love her and I am so thankful that she works like a human being. My father is always happy. I am grateful to my wife."
