Byung-ho Yoon's position on appeal is reversed: "I did not use fentanyl"
Rapper Yoon Byeong-ho, a former member of Mnet's survival program 'High School Rapper 2', denied some of the charges at the appellate trial on drug use charges. This is a different attitude from when he admitted all charges in the first trial.
On the 3rd, the Suwon District Court Yeoju Branch Criminal Division (Chief Judge Lee Hyun-bok) sentenced Byeong-ho Yoon, who was indicted on charges of violating the Narcotics Management Act, to two years and six months in prison.
At the trial, Byung-ho Yoon stated, “I have never purchased or inhaled fentanyl.” Unlike the first trial, the position was reversed. In relation to this, Byung-ho Yoon said, "The investigative agency did not believe me and told me to admit (the crime) with the intention that there would be no burden on sentencing," and "I wanted to tell the truth while appealing."
Byung-ho Yoon was indicted on charges of inhaling marijuana and using Philopon at his home in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon in July last year. He is also suspected of inhaling fentanyl, a new drug that is rapidly spreading in the United States and Mexico.
In the first trial, the court sentenced Byung-ho Yoon to four years in prison and to complete 40 hours of a drug addiction recidivism prevention education program.
In addition, Byung-ho Yoon was indicted on charges of attempting to purchase fentanyl from November 2019 to April 2020 and attempting to purchase methamphetamine in June 2022. He was sentenced to two years and six months in prison.
