EXID's Hani Opens Up About Postponed Wedding and Personal Struggles

On the October 14th episode of MBN's 'Oh Eun-young Stay,' Hani, also known by her real name Ahn Hee-yeon, opened up about her personal experiences.
During the broadcast, Hani revealed, "I tend to be very conscious of others. I've been sensitive to other people's emotions since I was young, and although it's not my responsibility, I often feel compelled to take it on." She continued, "If I don't pay attention, I feel like I've done something wrong. I want to distance myself from others' emotions, but I've always been in environments where I had to be mindful of them."
She further explained, "As a child, I was very aware of my mother's feelings. She opposed my career in entertainment, and I felt guilty for pursuing a path she didn't approve of. Before debuting, it was just my mom and close people I had to consider, but entering the entertainment industry intensified this need to be cautious."

She expressed, "There's a pressure to meet many people's expectations, and I find myself being more cautious. But now, I want to stop being so mindful. I've realized through various experiences that life doesn't always go as planned."
Meanwhile, Hani announced her engagement to Yang Jae-woong, a psychiatrist 10 years her senior, last year. However, the wedding was postponed following a patient death incident at Yang's clinic.
