MBN's 'Oh Eun-young Stay' Offers Heartfelt Healing and Empathy

On the episode aired on the 14th, as part of MBN's 30th-anniversary national consolation project, 'Oh Eun-young Stay' featured a former figure skater turned shaman, a 21-year veteran detective, a family member who lost a father in a plane crash, and EXID's Hani. Each faced their own pain, seeking solace and recovery. Dr. Oh Eun-young, along with Ko So-young and Yoo Se-yoon, carefully embraced their hearts, delivering a profound resonance.

She added, "Returning to daily life doesn't mean you're not sad. Returning with love and longing for the departed is part of the grieving process," and comforted, "It's okay to be happy. Your father would want that too."
Ko So-young and Yoo Se-yoon shared a light-hearted conversation with the detective about conflicts with teenage children during mealtime. Ko So-young humorously suggested, "Pretending to be indifferent helps when clashing with a teenager," and shared, "I say, 'Are you in puberty? I'm in menopause!' Menopause wins," drawing laughter. Yoo Se-yoon added, "Try not nagging for a month. When I held back, my child approached me first," resonating with the detective.

Previously, Hani planned to marry psychiatrist and broadcaster Yang Jae-woong in September last year, but the wedding was indefinitely postponed due to a medical accident at Yang's clinic. The couple is reportedly still together.
Hani expressed her desire to "have the courage to be disliked," revealing that speaking out about her long-held concerns marked the beginning of change. She added, "I decided to live this way, and it was empowering to hear Dr. Oh encourage it," finally letting go of her lingering hesitation. Hani concluded by singing 'I Am a Firefly,' a song with lyrics like 'It's okay, I'll shine,' as participants shared warm, firefly-like light on each other's wounds, ending the session with mutual comfort.
